|THEATRE GREEN BOOK Version 2-Sustainable Operations Workshop|
The Theatre Green Book has become an essential guide for the global theatre community in its pursuit of sustainable development, with localized applications in many countries around the world. Covering aspects from energy use and material selection to waste management and building planning, this guide provides theatre professionals with practical steps for action. To make it easier for theatre professionals to improve recycling rates and reduce carbon emissions, Theatre Green Book 2.0 has streamlined the extensive textual explanations into a form-based format, allowing users to more easily track and manage their sustainability efforts.
Theatre Green Book 2.0 is a straightforward guide combined with an Excel spreadsheet, serving as a tracking tool that simplifies the calculation of material recycling rates and carbon emissions. In the upcoming Theatre Green Book 2.0 - Sustainable Operations Workshop, the authors Paddy Dillon and Lisa Burger will guide participants through the effective use of these tools. This workshop features several sections meticulously designed to enhance participants' understanding of Theatre Green Book 2.0 and its practical application in theatres to improve recycling efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
