2024 藝術永續國際論壇 International Forum for Art and Sustainability
國立臺北藝術大學主辦「2024年藝術永續國際論壇」，以「推廣」為目標，透過「文化政策」與「產業發展」雙主軸，規劃「藝術永續文化政策」、「永續節慶」、「劇場綠皮書2.0」、「博物館永續發展」、「社會青年的永續實踐」五大主題，透過國際案介紹，探討文化政策對於推動全球氣候行動的重要性，以及藝術領域如何實踐藝術永續並持續影響利害相關者。約40位台灣及國際專家學者參與這次盛會，期待透過政策與實務面的探討，凝聚藝文產業共識，擴大藝術領域對於永續政策的影響力。
今年特邀ICOM SUSTAIN 國際博物館協會（International Council of Museums）的博物館永續發展委員會主席Morien Rees進行開幕專題演講，並首度邀請國際藝術永續的重要推手Julie’s Bicycle的英國藝術協會專案經理Hannah Graham 、《劇場綠皮書》創辦人Paddy Dillon與Lisa Burger，以及歐盟文化政策專家Eric Herve H. Ponthieu教授來台參與論壇，並於10月7、8日分別在國家兩廳院舉辦「Julie’s Bicycle-創意氣候領導力工作坊(Creative Climate Leadership)」，以及「《劇場綠皮書2.0》永續營運」、「《劇場綠皮書2.0》永續製作」工作坊，透過現場教學、分組討論與案例演練，推動台灣藝術永續的實踐。
Building upon the core objectives of forming initiatives and putting visions into practice from the past two years, the 2024 3rd International Forum for Art and Sustainability will shift its focus to "promotion." At this year's forum, we will be exploring the dual themes of "Cultural Policy" and "Industry Development" across five key topics: "Sustainable Cultural Policies for the Arts," "Sustainable Festivals," "Theatre Green Book 2.0," "Sustainable Development of Museums," and "Youth and Sustainability" The discussions will highlight the critical role of cultural policies across various countries in driving global climate action, and how various art sectors can implement sustainable art practices to extend their influence to stakeholders. With over 40 experts and scholars from Taiwan and around the world expected to participate, the event aims to forge industry consensus and amplify the forum's influence through in-depth discussions on policy and practice.
This year’s forum will feature a keynote opening speech by Morien Rees, Chair of the International Committee on Museums and Sustainable Development (SUSTAIN) from the International Council of Museums (ICOM), who will discuss sustainable development in the art and cultural industries from the perspective of museums. Other notable international figures in sustainable art, including Hannah Graham, Arts Council England Programme Manager of Julie's Bicycle, Paddy Dillon and Lisa Burger, authors of the Theatre Green Book, and Professor Eric Herve H. Ponthieu, an EU cultural policy expert, will be joining the forum for the first time to engage in a series of in-depth exchanges. Prominent speakers from the Arts Council England, Festival d'Avignon in France, Vivid Sydney, Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Australia, and the Manchester Museum in the UK, along with key industry figures promoting the Theatre Green Book in Europe, Scotland, Belgium, and Australia, will be participating online. The forum will also highlight successful cases of sustainable entrepreneurship in the arts and cultural sectors by the younger generations of Taiwan by inviting them to share their experience, showcasing their inspiring contributions in both their personal lives and careers.
Scheduled for October 4th and 5th, the 2024 International Forum for Art and Sustainability will be live-streamed in its entirety in both English and Chinese on YouTube.
Furthermore, to enhance the sustainable expertise of theatre professionals, three workshops will be held at National Theater and Concert Hall on October 7th and 8th. These include the Creative Climate Leadership workshop by Natalie Highwood of Julie’s Bicycle, and the Sustainable Productions and Operations workshops led by Paddy Dillon and Lisa Burger from Theatre Green Book, ideal for those looking to explore creative climate leadership or to implement the Theatre Green Book into their work.
