What does the Year of the Dragon look like for you? Come design the Future You in this art and meditation session!

Class Fee: $520 per session (includes materials 包括材料 )

Materials 材料:

- Paper or Multimedia Journal 紙張或多媒體日記本

- Colorful pens or colored pencils 彩色筆或彩色鉛筆

- Watercolor paints & brush, water cups 水彩颜料和畫筆,水杯

- Black pen 黑色鋼筆

 

What is Art and Meditation?

Meditative art is a mix of art and meditation. The practice is designed to help you relax, feel present and connect with yourself. You will learn how to put down thought and feelings in visual form.

冥想藝術是藝術和冥想的結合。這個練習旨在幫助您放鬆、感受當下並與自己建立聯繫。您將學會如何將思維和情感以視覺形式表達出來。

Each session is 90 minutes. We will start with introducing the topic and art activity, then get into a short 10-15 minute meditation session before creating artwork and end with a sharing portion. Come design your life with fresh energy and discover the power of your mind.

You do not need any experience! All levels welcome. Ages 16+

Class is conducted in English.

About Jenna:

Jenna Lo is a self-taught watercolor nature artist and sketcher. She teaches watercolor painting and meditative art. She has a Certificate in Advanced Character Animation from Animation Mentor and Meditation Foundations 1 from MVP.

From 2018-2021, she hosted Let’s ART, a community for artist. We hosted over 100+ classes and events at locations all over Taipei. She has worked with R.A.R.E, The Community Center Taipei, Ooh Cha Cha, The Misanthrope Society and LAST gallery.

  1. What is meditation? Meditation is a mental practice that promotes relaxation and self-awareness. It involves focusing the mind to achieve clarity, inner peace, and heightened consciousness.

  2. How do I start meditating? Begin by finding a quiet, comfortable spot. Sit or lie down, close your eyes, and focus on your breath or a chosen object to calm your mind.

  3. How can I sit comfortably during meditation? Sit with a straight back on a cushion or chair, ensuring your posture is relaxed yet alert. Maintain comfort to avoid distractions during your meditation practice.

  4. How long should I meditate for? Beginners can start with 5-10 minutes and gradually extend the time. The amount of time is not as important as being comfortable with building a practice.

  5. What if I can't draw anything? If you can't draw anything during meditative art, don't worry. The focus should be on the process, not the outcome. Let go of expectations and embrace the creative flow without judgment.

  6. What if I don't like what I draw? If you don't like what you draw during meditative art, remember that it's about the process, not the result. Embrace self-compassion and use it as an opportunity for self-expression and exploration.
