【活動介紹】
有效利他台灣峰會將於 2026 年 8 月 1 日在張榮發基金會國際會議中心舉行，此次活動將是台灣首場有效利他主義（Effective Altruism, EA）為主題的大型會議，邀請不同背景的學生與工作者，一同思考如何更有效地改變世界。
這場活動將透過主題演講、討論與交流活動，帶你深入認識有效利他的概念，並探索具體影響力行動方向與機會，從中也能認識更多關心全球議題、重視理性與實證，也希望把想法轉化為行動的台灣人。
【活動內容】
有效利他台灣峰會的活動內容將包含：
- 有效利他入門課：介紹有效利他的核心理念與思考框架，包括如何透過實證研究、理性思考與成本效益分析，在有限資源下做出更有影響力的選擇。
- 議題講座與討論：探討當前世界面臨的重要挑戰，包括 AI 安全、動物福利、全球健康與發展等議題，並進一步討論台灣在這些全球議題中的角色與可能的行動定位。
- 職涯技能工作坊：透過實作與討論，協助你思考如何將自身技能與資源應用於高影響力領域，以及如何在不同行動路徑中發揮長期影響力。
- 交流與社群活動：活動中將安排交流與互動環節，讓參與者有機會交換想法，認識同樣關注高影響力行動的人，並探索未來持續參與社群的方式。
在峰會結束時，你將更清楚理解有效利他的思考方式如何應用於真實世界問題中，並對高影響力的全球議題與職涯方向有更明確的判斷，同時帶走具體的下一步行動方向。

這場活動適合以下對象：
- 正在探索未來職涯的學生：如果你正在思考如何將過往所學轉化為更有意義的職涯，有效利他的觀點能幫助你更清楚地思考並釐清下一步。

參加這場活動不需具備任何有效利他的知識或經驗，若你還不確定自己是否應參加此次活動，我們誠摯歡迎你先報名申請！
【報名流程】
- 填寫簡短報名表：報名表約需 5 至 10 分鐘填寫，我們會詢問你的背景、感興趣的內容，以及參加活動的動機。
- 收到審核結果：我們預計在收到申請後的 10 個工作天內回覆結果。
- 確認報名：若申請通過，你將收到確認信，信中會包含活動報到與相關注意事項，你也可以在同時表達願意擔任此次活動志工的意願。
報名採先送先審制，我們會進行簡單審核，確保每位參與者都能在會議中有高品質的收穫。

Ａ：不需要，活動完全免費。
Ｑ：活動會使用中文或英文進行？
Ａ：活動將以中文為主，部分內容可能會使用英文，我們會在活動前提供更詳細的語言與翻譯說明。
Ｑ：現場會提供餐點嗎？
Ａ：會，活動當天將提供全素午餐，並在上午與下午時間提供簡單茶水。
Ｑ：報名截止日期為何？如果較晚報名會怎樣？
Ａ：本次活動名額有限，並採先送先審制。因名額可能在 7 月 19 日截止日前即已額滿，我們建議儘早提交申請，逾額後將視情況設立候補名單。
【EA Summit】
EA Summit: Taiwan will take place on 1 August 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan at Chang Yung-Fa Foundation International Convention Center (No.11, Zhongshan S. Road).
This is the first effective altruism (EA) conference in Taiwan, bringing together students and professionals who want to think seriously about how to do the most good in the world. Whether you're just beginning to explore EA or have been following it for a while, this is a chance to learn from engaging talks, connect with like-minded people in Taiwan, and discover concrete ways to take action.
【Program】
The agenda for EA Summit: Taiwan will include:
- Introduction to Effective Altruism: An overview of the core ideas and frameworks behind effective altruism, including how to use evidence, reasoning and cost-effectiveness analysis to make impactful decisions with limited resources.
- Talks and discussions: We will explore some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including AI safety, animal welfare, and global health and development. We will also discuss Taiwan’s role in these global challenges and where effective action might be taken.
- Career and skills workshops: A hands-on session to help you think through how to apply your skills and resources in high-impact areas, and explore different paths that can lead to meaningful long-term impact.
- Networking and social activities: Structured opportunities to exchange ideas, meet others who care about high-impact action, and explore ways to stay engaged with the community moving forward.
By the end of the summit, you will have a clearer understanding of how effective altruism frameworks apply to real-world problems, a stronger sense of which global issues and career paths may be most impactful for you, and concrete next steps to turn that clarity into action.

This event is for you if:
- You are a student exploring how to make a meaningful difference, curious about how EA ideas can help you navigate your next steps with clarity and purpose.
- You are a professional looking to align your work with the world's most pressing problems, and wanting to connect with others who share that goal.
- You care about staying engaged with global ideas and challenges, and are looking for thoughtful conversations that connect to the broader international EA movement.
You don't need any prior knowledge of EA to apply. If you're not sure whether this event is right for you, please apply anyway — we'd love to hear from you.
【Application Process】
- Complete a short application (~5–10 minutes). We'll ask about your background, interests, and motivation for attending.
- Hear back from us. We'll aim to respond within 10 business days.
- Confirm your registration (~5 minutes). If accepted, you'll receive an email to confirm your spot and provide logistical details. You can also sign up to volunteer at the event.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We will conduct a light screening to ensure that all participants can get the most out of the summit.

Is there a fee to attend? No, completely free of charge.
Will the event be in Mandarin or English? The event will be conducted primarily in Mandarin, with some content in English as well. We will share more details closer to the event.
Will food and drinks be provided? The event will serve a vegan lunch, along with morning and afternoon tea breaks with water and snacks.
What is the application deadline? What if I apply later? Spots are limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage early applications, as spots may fill up before the deadline of July 19. If applications exceed capacity, we may open a waitlist.
