Anamorphosis & Anatexis—Lecture on the Physiology of Dragons (Rebroadcast)

Since 2017, YANG Yu-Chiao has been developing Anamorphosis & Anatexis, a series of experimental sound performances based on folk narratives, which combines vocal performance, extended oral techniques, free improvisation, and writing practices. This performance treats every language sound as a compressed file, revealing hidden messages through oral and written expressions. It has been featured in C-LAB’s The Alternative Guide of Time exhibition and involves collaborations with artists like XU Chia-Chun, Bei San Q Nan, LIU Fang-Yi, Dino, and Dawang Yingfan HUANG. In 2024, it was invited to perform at “Sonic Shaman” music festival.
Anamorphosis & Anatexis—Lecture on the Physiology of Dragons (Rebroadcast) is a lecture performance designed by YANG Yu-Chiao for Zmey. It incorporates instruments, percussion, blackboard writing, and verbal art.
