Why is AWW hosting a buildathon?
As a community, AWW focuses on building products and services to help women globally achieve financial, location, and creative independence. They are hoping to kickstart the entrepreneurial community spirit they aim to build within the AWW community, hence, regularly host opportunities for women to share business knowledge, learn together, and find funding for their projects. Founded in 2020 as a Facebook group by Emily Fang and Ivy Xu, Asian Wander Women is a 1000+ online women community of engineers, entrepreneurs, builders, career coaches, and more. Most of their members are nomadic, remote, working abroad, or striving towards the goal of becoming location independent.
Through their common goal of empowering women to lead unconventional lives and build products and services together, a community with this intent was set up to support and scale this initiative further.
