台北國際藝術村作為國內外藝術家進駐的場域，讓跨文化、跨領域的藝術能量，在此相互撞擊、交融。為貼近藝術與生活間的距離，使一般大眾對於「藝術家／創作者」有更深刻且具體的認識，我們特別於「2019 夏季開放日」規劃一場特別的分享會，邀請擁有斜槓身分的視覺藝術家安哲，與民眾分享他在創作這一路上的經驗與感受，期許讓更多人了解藝術家實際的生活和心境，以及在自身創作歷程中，如何茁壯自己的勇氣，擁抱不安定。
◆ 視覺藝術家︱安哲
安哲的創作包含前衛漫畫藝術及圖像創作，不斷實驗新的媒材並打破創作形式，將個人觀點投射在作品裡，希望能藉此傳達一些訊息。作品曾多次榮獲國際大獎肯定，2018年入圍素有插畫界奧斯卡之稱的義大利波隆納插畫展；2014年以〈消失的226號The Disappeared no. 226〉入選美國3×3當代插畫展，並收錄美國插畫年鑑中；2013年以〈清道夫The Dustman〉入圍法國安古蘭國際漫畫節新秀獎，〈禮物The Gift〉則於歐漫前衛漫畫節瑞士琉森Fumetto榮獲新秀獎首獎；2006年以〈奇異國系列kiwi country〉榮獲韓國首爾第十屆國際動畫競賽角色故事設計類亞軍。安哲的作品屢獲國際肯定，並於法國、瑞士、比利時、香港等地展出，著有《紙上的小宇宙》畫冊、《不安分的石頭》繪本與《床底下的夢想》圖文筆記書。

【Artist Talk: The Real Life Story of Artist Ahn Zhe】
Taipei Artist Village is a place where cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary forces collide and meld, generating artistic energy. However, people may regard the artist/creator as a mysterious being in real life. In order to let the audience have a better idea about what does an ARTIST actually does and encounter, we exclusively invite visual artist Ahn Zhe, who is also a famous actor, to share his real-life story as an artist with us. Through this talk, we hope to let more people know about artist-in-residency as well as encourage people to find their connections with art.
◆ Visual Artist︱Ahn Zhe
While it may seem possible to see through the profound eyes of Ahn Zhe, they always leave you wondering what actually lies behind their misty depths. It is as if an infinite universe resides in those dark brown pupils, in spiral after spiral, where traces of melancholy, innocence and beauty are revealed through that subtle, flimsy moment of light. To him, art is about portraying “the little universe,” and drama about unleashing the universe itself. For anyone who wants to know more about him, his productions offer a close peek into his world.
His works birm with criticism, introspection, sarcasm, and absurdity. He is not just painting for painting’s sake, but for the sake of conveying his thoughts. Answers are seldom found in his works since there are too many of them in this world, where there is no such thing as a standard answer. Thus he never provides answers, but leaves blanks and spaces for the viewers to fill in.
