莊默非出生於台北市,現年15歲,目前就讀於美國麻州Milton Academy九年級.默非七歲時開始學習大提琴,師事許家銘,洪薇婷老師,並參加學校弦樂團、管弦樂團、室內樂及個人獨奏比賽,獲獎無數.於2017年甄選進入台北愛樂少年樂團迄今,同時是美國新英格蘭音樂院青年團及Milton Academy管弦樂團成員.曾多次參加音樂節活動及公開售票演出,並接受熊士蘭、歐陽伶宜、黃日昇、高炳坤、Wen-Sinn Yang、Emmanuel Feldman…等多位大師指導.默非自2020年開始即為“愛樂種子 Sistema Taiwan”舉辦慈善音樂會籌募公益提琴課程的經費,並且為“愛樂種子-人生第一把琴”計畫推廣. 本次音樂會演出收入將全數捐給台灣愛樂種子協會,希望更多弱勢孩子能透過音樂教育翻轉生命歷程.
Born in Taipei Taiwan, Murphy Chuang started learning the cello at the age of seven. She has been studying under Chia-Ming Hsu and Wei-Ting Hung as cellist for string ensembles and soloist for competitions. Murphy has been participating in many competitions and won awards and recognitions. Murphy is currently a member of New England Conservatory of Music Preparatory School (NEC-YRO), Taipei Philharmonic Youth Ensemble (TPYE), and Milton Academy School Orchestra. Murphy has been raising funds for “Sistema Taiwan” through charity recitals since 2020 to help the under-privileged children in pursuing music.
