以「連結」的概念貫穿，構築循環的迴圈，在冬至圓。
聲景詩歌中交織對土地的熱愛，表達人與環境共生的相通情感。來自宜蘭的樂人與創作者，融合中西民族器樂，穿梭於自由即興與爵士音樂語彙之間，轉化北管鑼鼓、泰雅歌謠等臺灣音樂素材，探索傳統素材當代光景。
另以宜蘭地區的「橋樑」為主體創作「聲音詩」的形式。藉此多維度思考橋樑與人、土地、時空的關係。透過詩文、聲景、音樂的跨領域互動，傳遞本是同根生的集體意識，在地發聲，世界共感。
A Root 同根生
笙、中阮、柳琴、鋼琴、低音提琴及世界打擊樂組成的融合樂團。串聯中西民族器樂，穿梭於自由即興、爵士音樂語彙之間。刻劃出北管、泰雅、客家等臺灣音樂素材的當代光景。那些來自生活的靈光，於潛意識中生了根，造就我們的樣子。
宜蘭音樂人所組成，擅以環境與空間為創作靈感，透過音樂敘事。帶著各自不同的藝術背景與生命經驗，在家鄉的土地上再次相聚，以此為根基，啟程。

獲美國灣區國際童玩節、加州馬德拉市、洛杉磯臺灣會館邀請，於美國加州展開《共感》巡迴演出。
獲邀擔任「世界音樂節在臺灣」專場演出團隊。
於臺中歌劇院演出《聲度旅行》同根生專輯巡演音樂會。
於宜蘭演藝廳舉辦《宜日立春—同根生專輯首發音樂會》。
與國宴名廚陳兆麟舉辦《當食譜遇見樂譜》音樂美食饗宴。
擔任國立傳統藝術中心駐園演出團隊，策劃節目《赤子遊樂園》。
獲選為臺北市傳統藝術季演出節目，演出《返景入聲林》音樂會。

About us
A Root is a fusion ensemble that brings together the Sheng, Ruan, Liuqin, Piano, Double Bass, and World Percussions. Incorporating Chinese and Western instrumental music, the ensemble creates soundscapes crossing musical cultures and geographical borders. It combines jazz, indie, and urban folk into a unique expression of world music in between urban and ancient, modern and traditional. It captures the aura of daily life that takes root in our subconsciousness, making us who we are today.
Director, Sheng / Jipo Yang
Born in Yilan, Jipo Yang obtained a master's degree in performing arts from the National Taiwan University of Arts, and was elected a distinguished alumnus of the university. Yang is an active sheng player and crossover performer who specializes in collaborating with different types of artists.
Composition, Piano, Keyboard / Chiao Lin
Chiao Lin is an Atayal born in Nan'ao, Yilan. He won the first place in the oboe category of the National Music Competition for Senior High Students. At the age of 19, Lin went to France for further studies, majoring in oboe and jazz piano while learning improvisational techniques, music arrangement, and composition. He graduated with a degree in music performance from Le CRR de Versailles.
Liuqin, Ruan / Wan-Ting Lin
Born in Yilan, Wan-Ting Lin obtained a master's degree in Chinese music from the National Taiwan University of Arts. She likes playing musical instruments in a free and unrestrained manner, and is a resourceful Aires who always comes up with interesting ideas about sound, follows her intuition, and pushes forward bravely.
Double Bass, Cello / Hao-Yu Cheng
A Yilan native, Cheng majored in cello and graduated from the Johannes- Brahms- Konservatorium in Hamburg with a degree in music performance. Since returning to Taiwan in 2014, Cheng has been active in a variety of music performances and teaching activities. He will continue to search for his own musical expressions in classical, folk, jazz, and crossover music.
Percussion / Joey Chen
Joey Chen specializes in a wide range of drums, including Taiwanese opera percussion instruments, tank drums, RAV drums, cajons, djembes, and Darbuka Doumbeks. Chen graduated from the National College of Performing Arts, and majored in percussion accompaniment for Taiwanese opera.
