一部表演作品的誕生，需要哪些條件？
在登上舞台之前，作品需要時間、資源、人際連結，以及容許實驗的空間。
藝術機構與藝術節如何讓支持創作過程的工作被看見、被理解，並使其與呈現完成作品一樣，成為自身使命的核心？
本論壇由獨立策展人林人中主持，邀請印尼舞蹈節 Indonesian Dance Festival 策展人 Ratri Anindyajati、東京世田谷公共劇場執行總監滝口健（Ken Takiguchi）、雪梨當代表演藝術機構 Performance Space 藝術總監 Kate Britton，以及臺南藝術節策展人温慧玟，共同探討表演作品如何孕育而成，以及如何支持新一代藝術家。與談人將從印尼、日本、澳洲、臺灣及其他地區的實務經驗出發，討論藝術家需要哪些條件，才能勇於冒險、嘗試想法，並持續發展自身的創作實踐。
面對不同的在地脈絡與不均等的資源，國際網絡又能如何支持新銳藝術家？透過駐地創作、共同製作與資源共享，藝術機構與藝術節如何將一次次相遇轉化為長久的合作關係？支持藝術家的持續發展，也是在為尚未可知的藝術可能，創造發生的條件。
What does it take to bring a performance into being? Before a work reaches the stage, it depends on time, resources, relationships and space to experiment. How can arts institutions and festivals make supporting this process legible and as central to their mission as presenting finished work?
Bringing together Ratri Anindyajati, Ken Takiguchi, Kate Britton and Kate Wen, this forum explores how performance is produced and how the next generation of artists can be supported. Drawing on their experiences across Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Taiwan and beyond, the panel members will discuss the conditions artists need to take risks, test ideas and develop their practices.
The conversation will also consider how international networks can support emerging artists across different local contexts and unequal access to resources. Through residencies, co-productions and shared resources, how can institutions and festivals turn individual encounters into lasting relationships? Investing in artists’ development means creating the conditions for artistic possibilities we cannot yet anticipate.
