三極真空管的發明者暨無線電廣播先驅李・德富雷斯特，曾將大眾廣播形容為「空中帝國」。這個由電子波建構的空中帝國在 1920 年代迅速席捲全球，在凝聚與統一公眾意識的同時，也剝奪了人們發聲的權利。
然而，在戰後的脈絡下，擺脫帝國控制的電波開始萌芽。日本mini-FM的發展與臺灣地下電台的興起，皆屬於一場運動——試圖奪回已與權力及資本主義深度勾連的媒體主導權。特別是在臺灣，這項行動展現了個人對自身聲音所擁有的主體性與自主權。
長期尋索在身分認同建構過程中所浮現之流動之聲的小林颯，在與臺灣地下電台運動相遇後，進一步深入瞭解日治時期的廣播歷史。這些關注最終延伸至跨越性別邊界的同志文學。本作品利用廣播這一媒介——一種從法西斯主義的象徵轉變為個人連結與團結之支柱的媒材——進行一場實驗，試圖捕捉那些跨越性別、語言等諸多界線的跨界者，在身分認同過程中的掙扎與沉浮。
Performance Introduction
Lee de Forest, the inventor of the triode vacuum and a pioneer in radio broadcasting, described mass radio as the “Empire of the Air.” This electronic empire of the air rapidly spread throughout the world and unified people’s consciousnesses while also stripping away their voices. This was the 1920s.
In the postwar context, however, electronic waves beyond the influence of the empire began to emerge. The development of mini-FM in Japan and underground radio in Taiwan were part of a movement to reclaim media that had become deeply intertwined with power and capitalism. Particularly in Taiwan, it was an act that demonstrated the agency that individuals had over their own voices.
hayate kobayashi, who had been searching for “migrating voices” that appear in the process of forming an identity, encountered the underground radio movement in Taiwan and learned about radio broadcasting during the Japanese occupation. These interests eventually led to the genderbending genre of tongzhi literature. Using radio—a medium that transforms from a symbol of fascism to a pillar of individual solidarity—this work serves as an experiment to capture the identity struggles of transborderers who traverse various boundaries, including sexualities and language.
