Taipei Art Week 2026 International Forum
As the world continues to undergo rapid change, how can art respond to the present moment? And how can curatorial practice offer new ways of understanding art, society, and the world we inhabit in times of uncertainty and transformation?
The 2026 Taipei Art Week International Forum, titled “Curating the Present: Responding to a Changing World,” brings together four prominent curators active across the Asian and international art scenes. Drawing on diverse geographical contexts, cultural perspectives, and professional experiences, the forum explores the questions and possibilities facing curatorial practice today.
The forum features Russell Storer, Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial Affairs at M+; Binna Choi, Curator of the Korea Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale; and Susanne Pfeffer, Director of the Museum für Moderne Kunst (MMK), Frankfurt. The discussion will be moderated by Eva Lin, curator of the 2025 Jogja Biennale.
Approaching the conversation from distinct perspectives on contemporary art in Asia, international curatorial practice, and major international exhibitions, the three speakers will share their curatorial experiences and insights. Together, they will explore how curating can respond to social and cultural shifts amid a changing global art ecosystem, how dialogue can be fostered across cultures and regions, and the evolving position of Asian curatorial practices within today’s international art landscape.
More than a forum on curating, this is a conversation about the present—connecting Asia and the world through art and curatorial practice.
More information about Taipei Art Week 2026 will be announced soon. Please stay tuned and keep an eye on taipeiartweek.tw.
