2026 Trans-dimensional Technology and Art Forum
As a new wave of technology sweeps in, it once again disrupts our daily lives, social values, industrial structures, and sectoral ecosystems. In this same torrent, is art facing unprecedented shocks, or is it being profoundly nourished? Does technology catalyze artistic innovation, or does it impose new shackles?
The intersection and blend of technology and art have constantly evolved over time, taking on distinct forms and vocabularies in every era. Creative methods, critical perspectives, aesthetic philosophy, education systems, and human perceptions are all undergoing accelerated modulation. Together, artists and audiences embark on a journey into the unknown. Tech-art is an ongoing practice of verification, where technological innovation continuously redefines and expands the artistic experience.
This forum brings together international tech-art researchers, creators, educators, and art technology institution professionals to engage in critical dialogues. We will examine the cultivation of a new generation of tech-art talents, untangle the concerns and visions that technology brings to art, share interdisciplinary practices, and map out emerging trends. Through these dialogues, the forum strives to shape a new chapter for art amidst technological prosperity.
SESSION I
Title:Current Status and Future Outlook of Talent Cultivation in Tech Art Education in the New Technological Era
Panelist:HSU Chun-Cheng
In the first half of this forum, we invite four professional speakers from Europe, North America, and Asia. Drawing from their extensive, years-long experience in teaching, research, and creation, and operating within vastly different cultural regions, social environments, and educational institution histories, they will offer observations that respond to shared core concerns of contemporary reality: Under rapidly shifting technological conditions, how does art education adapt to this new landscape in the face of the inevitable trend of human-machine collaboration, the blurring boundaries between virtual and physical worlds, and the impacts on emerging philosophical and aesthetic levels? What challenges lie ahead for the creation and pedagogy of future generations?
SESSION II
Title:Trends and New Challenges in the Curatorial Planning of Tech Art
Panelist:TSENG Yu-Chuan
When technology permeates daily life in the form of a "black box," will human inventions that strive for perfection eventually backfire due to the unpredictable impacts caused by the systems and power structures established behind new technologies? Technology carries specific cultural logics, geopolitical economics, and social-industrial value judgments, making culture and art an indispensable and critical field for negotiation in this uncertain landscape. This session invites four curators and institutional speakers from Europe, North America, and Asia. Drawing from four distinct institutional practice paths—including local cultural ingenuity, international festival curation and execution experience, and cross-disciplinary research—they will jointly explore the contemporary trends and challenges facing tech art.
