計算，原是替世界量出邊界的方法。在音像現場，這些邊界卻持續移動：投影有清楚的幅面，聲音越過銀幕，進入牆面、空氣與身體。「計算，音影面積」取意自一道熟悉的網路題目。電腦與程式在此進入演出，運算也有了可以被觀看、聽見和感受的形狀。
失聲祭參與 2026 年聲徜藝術節，推出「計算，音影面積：台法音像現場」，邀請兩位台灣藝術家與一組法國藝術家。WHEREISCHAPPIE（劉東昱）的《膏肓 GAO HUANG》讓身體動作改寫聲音與畫面；王連晟的《液態結構 Liquid Structure》將人工智慧生成聲音、數學節奏與流體模擬置入遊戲引擎；Franck Vigroux、Loïc Varanguien de Villepin 與 Antoine Schmitt 的《NACHT II》，則讓歌聲在粗礪的電子聲響與單色影像之間浮現。三組作品從不同方向回應同一道題：當聲音與影像共同佔據一個現場，我們如何觀看，又如何置身其中？
Computation was, once, a way of measuring out the boundaries of the world. In live audiovisual performance, those boundaries refuse to stay still: projection keeps to its clearly defined frame; sound crosses the screen, entering walls, air and bodies. Phantom Field takes its cue from a familiar online problem—calculating an area. Here, computers and code enter the performance. Computation, too, takes on a form—something to be seen, heard and felt.
As part of the 2026 Wandering Festival, Lacking Sound Festival presents Phantom Field — Audiovisual Live from Taiwan and France, bringing together two Taiwanese artists and a French artist group. In WHEREISCHAPPIE’s (LIU Tung-Yu) GAO HUANG, movements of the body rewrite sound and image; WANG Lien-Cheng’s Liquid Structure draws AI-generated sound, mathematical rhythms and fluid simulation into a game engine; in NACHT II, by Franck Vigroux, Loïc Varanguien de Villepin and Antoine Schmitt, the voice surfaces between abrasive electronic sound and monochrome imagery. From different directions, the three works return to the same question: when sound and image share a live space, how do we look—and how do we find ourselves within it?
