一百五十年後，晶片供應全球，使台灣乘勢站上世界舞台的中心。
而這段關於「東方美人」的故事，可以從一百五十年前的茶香說起……
《東方美人》的核心敘事以清法戰爭前後的大稻埕為主要時空背景，並以東方美人茶的誕生傳說為主軸，將十九世紀臺灣茶（Formosa Tea）外銷的盛衰，以及白毫烏龍因小綠葉蟬啃食而產生獨特蜜香的奇妙過程，透過XR劇場形式，以戲劇性的語彙重新呈現。
觀眾將走入19世紀後期的大稻埕，在感受茶葉蛻變的瞬間，重新認識這款凝結台灣氣候、土地與文化的經典名茶。該作品以跨域創新的形式，展現台灣茶文化的新樣貌，讓百年茶史在光影與音樂的交織中再次綻放。

One hundred and fifty years ago, Taiwan's tea connected this island to the world, transforming Dadaocheng into a thriving trading hub;
One hundred and fifty years later, Taiwan's semiconductors power the world, placing this island at the forefront of global innovation.
And this story of "Oriental Beauty" begins with the fragrant aroma of tea from a century and a half ago......
The core narrative of Oriental Beauty is set against the historical backdrop of Dadaocheng around the time of the Sino-French War. Centering on the legend behind the birth of Oriental Beauty tea, the performance dramatically reimagines the rise and fall of 19th-century Formosa Tea exports. It also captures the miraculous transformation of White Tip Oolong, which acquires its signature honey-like aroma only after being bitten by tiny green leafhoppers.
Audiences will journey into late nineteenth-century Dadaocheng and experience the transformation of tea, rediscovering a timeless tea that embodies Taiwan's unique climate, fertile land, and rich cultural heritage. Through an innovative fusion of art, technology, and culture, the production reimagines Taiwan's tea culture, bringing its century-old tea heritage to life through the interplay of visuals and music.
