你知道嗎？根據台灣國家發展委員會針對人口年齡結構變化進行一項推估，預計台灣在 2030 年65歲以上人口數為24.2%，2050年時則會達到38.% ，代表每5個台灣人就有2個是65歲以上，對於既有的社會制度、工作、醫療照顧、休閒娛樂、教育和家庭關係將面臨衝擊。AI 身為強大且具有創造下一個世代的科技，會如何與我們一同成長？是老年時代的夥伴還是主宰我們的科技獨裁？
今年8月推測未來台北 Speculative Futures Taipei （推測未來台北） 持續第三年和德國萊比錫（Leipzig）的未來學家Justine Walter 合作籌劃在台北的設計未來活動～
在這場互動式工作坊中，你將成為一位來自2050 未來的公民議會成員。透過充滿趣味的未來情境，我們將運用即興表演（Improv）、共同討論辯論（Strategic Debates）動手打造推測原型 （Speculative Prototypes）來展示數位化社會中的老化將會是什麼模樣。
參加前可以想想，如果你的冰箱知道你的血液檢測數值？如果你的照護機器人知道你最喜歡的笑話？如果AI 甚至協助決定我們能夠多麼獨立地邁向老年？聽起來很方便，但問題是：這些規則，由誰決定？
- 哪些照護工作可以交給機器？
- 哪些決策仍然需要人類的判斷？
- 我們又該如何避免演算法把過去的偏見延續到未來？
最後有趣的是工作坊的內容會先在德國柏林、慕尼黑舉辦，最後一場會是回到台北。台北活動的開場會邀請 Justine 用英文和我們分享她在德國第一手的觀察，並接著聊聊什麼是未來思考～

Did you know? According to population projections by Taiwan's National Development Council, people aged 65 and over are expected to make up 24.2% of Taiwan's population by 2030, rising to 38% by 2050. That means 2 out of every 5 people in Taiwan will be over the age of 65. This demographic shift will profoundly reshape our social systems, work, healthcare, caregiving, leisure, education, and family relationships.
As one of the most transformative technologies of our time, how will AI grow alongside us? Will it become our trusted companion in old age—or evolve into a technological authority that determines how we live?
This August, Speculative Futures Taipei is excited to collaborate for the third consecutive year with Leipzig-based futurist Justine Walter to bring another future design workshop to Taipei.
In this interactive workshop, you'll become a member of a Citizens' Assembly from the year 2050. Through immersive future scenarios, we'll use improv theatre, strategic debates, and hands-on speculative prototyping to explore what aging in a digital society could look like.
Before joining, consider these questions:
- What if your refrigerator knew your blood test results?
- What if your care robot knew your favorite jokes?
- What if AI helped determine how independently you could age?
It sounds convenient—but who gets to decide the rules?
- Which caregiving tasks should be entrusted to machines?
- Which decisions should always remain in human hands?
- How can we prevent AI from carrying today's biases into tomorrow?
One exciting aspect of this workshop is its journey: it will first take place in Berlin and Munich, before its final stop in Taipei.
To kick off the Taipei session, Justine will share (in English) her firsthand observations from the workshops in Germany, followed by an introduction to Futures Thinking and why it matters.
