《藍》是賈曼的遺世告白，1993 年於威尼斯雙年展首映，引起世界轟動。全片由無邊無際的藍構成，此為他接受視網膜治療時經常滿佈視線的顏色。聲音設計則由賈曼與演員共同朗讀詩句、日記與回憶，輔以環境音、配樂、唱詩，傾瀉為病魔所苦的暮年。
其敏銳的感知、寓言般的奇想哲思與對生命的錘鍊，引領觀眾一同感受賈曼的數個生命片刻。
"Blue" is Jarman’s final testament. Premiering at the 1993 Venice Biennale, it sent shockwaves through the art world. The entire film consists of a boundless, unwavering blue—the very color that often saturated Jarman's vision during his retinal treatments. The soundscape features Jarman and a cast of actors reciting poetry, diary entries, and memories, layered with ambient noise, scores, and choral chants to evoke the twilight of a life plagued by illness.
Through his keen perception, allegorical musings, and the tempering of his own existence, Jarman invites the audience to inhabit the profound fragments of his final days.
▌導演介紹 About the Director
德瑞克·賈曼，英國導演、作家、愛滋活動家、酷兒電影先鋒。
以畫家之姿進入電影圈，熱衷挑戰電影形式，專注於實驗性作品與同志題材，視覺風格雜揉繪畫與舞台藝術。首部劇情片《塞巴斯蒂安》（1976）以描述男同志之間情感慾望為題，後《卡拉瓦喬》（1986）在柏林影展取得巨大成功。1994年因愛滋病去世。
Derek Jarman was a British filmmaker, writer, AIDS activist, and a pioneer of Queer Cinema.
Originally an artist who entered the film industry through painting, Jarman was known for his dedication to experimental works and LGBTQ+ themes. His visual language was a unique fusion of painterly aesthetics and theatrical art. After his debut feature Sebastiane (1976)—noted for its depiction of male desire—his 1986 masterpiece Caravaggio achieved massive acclaim at the Berlin International Film Festival. Jarman passed away in 1994 due to AIDS-related complications.
