影展介紹 Festival Theme
2026年嘉義國際藝術紀錄影展(CIADFF)於嘉義市立美術館盛大舉行,呈現最前衛、最獨特的藝術實驗短片與紀錄片創作。本屆影展以「真情凝視」為主題，呈現創作者以敏銳目光捕捉生活中的真實情感與細膩瞬間，邀請觀眾透過影像感受日常、文化與人性間最微妙而真實的連結。
The 2026 Chiayi International Art Doc Film Festival (CIADFF] takes place at the Chiayi Art Museum, showcasing a bold selection of cutting-edge experimental short films and documentaries.
Under the theme "Once Upon a Gaze," the festival foregrounds filmmakers whose attentive observations reveal genuine emotions and intimate moments, inviting audiences to reconsider the subtle yet authentic connections between daily life, culture, and human experience.

【導演簡介｜DIRECTOR PROFILE】德瑞莎·維吉維多娃 Tereza Vejvodová
德瑞莎·維吉維多娃是捷克電影導演與視聽藝術家，創作橫跨劇情、紀錄片與實驗短片，作品多於美術館或劇場呈現。畢業於布拉格表演藝術學院電影學院。其創作關注電影語言與視覺藝術、聲音設計，以及哲學或科學原理之間的交會。她的短片經常挑戰傳統敘事形式，聚焦身分認同、心理健康、科技焦慮，以及二十一世紀的情緒氛圍。其創作歷程源於好奇心與直覺，並試圖將電影視為一種多感官、具轉化性且跨領域的媒介來探索。
Tereza Vejvodová is a Czech filmmaker and audiovisual artist working across fiction, documentary, and experimental shorts for galleries and theatre. A graduate of FAMU in Prague, she explores the intersection of film language, visual arts, sound design, and philosophical or scientific ideas. Her films challenge traditional storytelling, focusing on identity, mental health, technological anxiety, and the emotional atmosphere of the 21st century.

【導演簡介｜DIRECTOR PROFILE】周晏旭 Chou Yen-Hsu
出生於台灣的藝術家周晏旭，2023年獲倫敦藝術大學美術碩士學位，現就讀於牛津大學，作品曾於蘇格蘭皇家學院、威尼斯軍械庫展出。他的創作涵蓋雕塑、裝置、錄像與繪畫，以幽默與詩意探討人類在不同環境中的生存狀態。脫離古典音樂傳統舞台與觀眾，他將音樂帶往不屬於它的場域，在街頭、森林與廢墟演奏大提琴，飄忽的琴聲映照人性起伏與情感。其作品結合真實自然與虛構生態，在現實與想像間建構個人的避難所與療癒空間。
Yen-Hsu Chou is a Taiwanese visual artist, MA in Fine Art (University of the Arts London, 2023), now studying at University of Oxford. His work has been shown at the Royal Scottish Academy and Venice's Arsenale Nord. Working across sculpture, installation, video, and painting, he explores survival with humor and poetry. Departing from classical music's stage, Chou brings cello to streets, forests, and ruins, its erratic sounds reflecting human emotion. His art fuses nature and imagined ecologies, creating refuges and healing spaces.

許慧如為紀錄片影像工作者，作品關注女性生命故事，透過家庭關係思考存在的意義，曾入圍日本山形、瑞士真實、英國雪菲爾等國際重要影展。近年持續創作，其影片透過虛實交錯的敘事結構探究紀錄片的更多可能，獲得金馬電影節最佳紀錄短片獎，與女性影展等入圍的肯定。
Hsu Hui-Ju is a documentary filmmaker who focuses on women's life stories, exploring the meaning of existence through the lens of family relationships. Her films have been selected for major international festivals, including YIDFF, Visions du Réel, and Sheffield DocFest. In recent years, she has continued to experiment with hybrid narrative structures that blur the line between reality and fiction. This film has won Best Documentary Short at the Golden Horse Award and others received nominations of various women's film festivals.

龔秋蓉取得國立臺灣藝術大學電影系碩士，現為自由影像工作者。短片作品《一步之遙》入圍第53屆金鐘獎；公視電視單元劇《小緯回來過，在他離開之後》2022年首播；文化部短片輔導金《初聲》入選第24屆台北電影節觀摩單元及入圍第46屆金穗獎學生「最佳劇情片獎」；近期電影劇本《山林裡的獸先生Mr.Monster》獲45屆優良電影劇本優選。其作品風格多元，關注女性議題與親情羈絆，忠實呈現故事核心。
Gong holds an MFA from NTUA's Dept. of Motion Picture and is a freelance filmmaker. Her short "The Stranger" was nominated for the 53rd Golden Bell Awards. Her PTS drama "Missing" premiered in 2022. "The Voice," an MOC grant recipient, was an Official Selection of the 24th Taipei Film Festival and nominated at the 46th Golden Harvest Awards. Recently, her screenplay "Mr. Monster" received the Excellent Screenplay Awards. Her work explores women's issues and family bonds, capturing the emotional core of each story.

拉菲克·艾利亞斯是一位屢獲殊榮的攝影師與電影導演，曾在日本生活與工作多年。他的作品獲得超過40項獎項，包括艾美獎以及BBC紀錄片《胖媽媽傳奇》所獲的亞洲廣播獎。他的電影關注社會歷史、音樂、科技與記憶。近期作品《若我記得沒錯》榮獲最佳攝影及薩蒂亞吉特·雷金獎。他也參與拍攝黃明川的紀錄片《波濤最深處》。他有四部作品曾於嘉義國際藝術紀錄影展放映，包含全球首映。
Rafeeq Ellias is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker who lived and worked in Japan. He has won over 40 awards, including an Emmy and an Asian Broadcast Award for the BBC documentary The Legend of Fat Mama. His films explore social history, music, technology, and memory. His recent film If Memory Serves Me Right won Best Cinematography and the Satyajit Ray Gold Award. He also shot part of Huang Mingchuan's Deepest Uprising. Four of his films screened at the Chiayi International Art Doc Film Festival, including a global premiere.

吳宣佑自稱為一個文史控，來自台中，誤打誤撞進入紀錄片的世界而流連忘返。如果紀錄片是一面鏡子的話，他從中看見自己的脆弱與堅強。他希望能夠從大歷史的敘事中，找到那不為人知、未曾被關注過的故事。
Wu Shiuan-Yu describes himself as a history and culture enthusiast from Taichung of Taiwan, who entered the world of documentary filmmaking by chance and never left. He sees documentary filmmaking as a mirror through which both his fragility and strength are revealed. Through Wu's work, he seeks to uncover overlooked and untold stories hidden within grand historical narratives.

維薩姆·沙洛夫，1973年生於貝魯特，曾執導七部短片，其中《一位朋友的難忘回憶》於2019年克萊蒙費朗影展獲獎。他的首部長片《天賜》在2016年康城影展的ACID單元入選。第二部長片《骯髒、困難、危險》於2022年威尼斯影展獲得歐典影城獎，2023年棕櫚泉影展再獲殊榮。維薩姆最新的短片《從天而降》在2024年9月入選威尼斯影展地平線單元，並剛在克萊蒙費朗影展獲得國家評審團特別獎。
Born in Beirut in 1973, Wissam Charaf has directed 7 short films including Unforgettable Memory Of A Friend, awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand festival 2019. His first feature film, Heaven Sent was selected at ACID during the Cannes Film Festival 2016. His second feature, Dirty Difficult Dangerous won the Europa Cinema at the 2022 Venice Film Festival before being awarded at the 2023 Palm Springs Film Festival. His latest short film, If The Sun Drowned Into An Ocean Of Clouds, has just won the Special Prize of the National Jury in Clermont Ferrand after being selected at Orizzonti – Venice in September, 2024.

Jan Grabowski(1994) - A storyteller working in film, visual arts, and video games. Studied at FAMU in Prague, Czech Republic, and graduated from the Lodz Film School in Poland. Autor of numerous short films shown around the world. Currently working as a Writer on "The Witcher Remake" video game.

Sam Drake is a filmmaker whose work has screened at film festivals and venues including The Museum of Modern Art, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Media City Film Festival, The Museum of the Moving Image, Courtisane Festival, Open City Documentary Festival, European Media Art Festival, CROSSROADS, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Antimatter, Non-Syntax Experimental Image, and EXiS. She currently lives in Milwaukee, where she teaches and programs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Aino Kontinen is a Finnish artist working in the intersections of lens-based art and poetry. Through minimalistic aesthetics, careful dramaturgic work and documentary notions she thrives to create multi-layered works that concentrate on bodily perspectives and materialities. To My Love is her debut short film.

【導演簡介｜DIRECTOR PROFILE】水尻自子 Yoriko Mizushiri
水尻自子1984年出生，動畫創作以身體部位與日常物件為材，營造獨特的觸覺感知。除短片創作外，她亦參與音樂影片、廣告與裝置錄像的製作。其短片作品屢獲國際影展肯定，其中《焦慮的身體》於2021年完成，並入選第74屆坎城影展「導演雙週」單元首映，並斬獲 15 項國際大獎。
Yoriko born in 1984. She creates animations that use body parts and everyday objects as motifs for tactile expression. In addition to making short films, she is also involved in the production of music videos, advertisements, and movies for installations. Her short films have been screened and awarded at festivals worldwide, including Anxious Body, completed in 2021, premiered in the Directors' Fortnight Competition at the 74th Cannes Film Festival and has won 15 international awards.

劉肇興的藝術創作背景橫跨攝影、數位媒體、電影與新聞領域。他的創作旅程曾帶領他走進⻄藏聖山的朝聖之路、日本海嘯重創的海岸線，以及與腦神經科學家合作探索內源性大麻素與記憶之間的微妙聯繫。劉導演的影像與平面作品曾在國際重要藝術機構展出並被收藏，包括東京攝影美術館、水晶橋美國藝術博物館、紐約魯賓博物館、休士頓美術館、芝加哥當代攝影美術館、墨爾本維多利亞國家美術館、首爾市立美術館、北京紅磚美術館、以及沙迦雙年展等。
Jawshing Arthur Liou is an artist with a background in photography, film, and journalism. His recent projects include a pilgrimage in the sacred mountains in Tibet, a journey through the tsunami-ravaged coastline of Japan, and a cinematic collaboration with a brain scientist regarding the connection between endocannabinoids and memory. His work has been featured in museums in Tokyo, New York, Chicago, Melbourne, Seoul, and Beijing.

【導演簡介｜DIRECTOR PROFILE】黃明川 Huang Mingchuan
黃明川自1989年倡導獨立製片起，完成三部劇情長片《西部來的人》、《寶島大夢》及《破輪胎》，奪夏威夷、新加坡、台北影展、金馬獎多項大獎。2003年《解放前衛》紀錄片系列獲頒台新基金會首屆「視覺藝術獎」首獎；2018年《肉身搏天》榮膺英國南罕普頓國際影展最佳紀錄片。他也拍攝多部文學影片，2021年推出亞洲16位女詩人的《波濤最深處》。2014年在台灣嘉義市創辦亞洲第一個「國際藝術紀錄影展」。
Huang Mingchuan's first fictional film "Man from Island West" claimed an Excellent Cinematography Award in Hawaii and Silver Screen Award in Singapore. Thereafter he made two more features. As a documentary director, Huang also produced made numerous videos on art and literature related subjects. His most renowned TV project "Avant-Garde Liberation" won the first Taishin Bank Arts Award's Visual Arts Prize in 2003. And "Chin Chih Yang - Face the Earth" received the Best Documentary Award from 2018 Southampton International Film Festival.
