活動簡介

What do the people around you carry—quietly, invisibly, every day?

The one who makes everyone laugh.
The one who always says, “I’m okay.”
The one who keeps showing up, even when they’re running on empty.
The family member you love, yet never fully understand.
And the parts of yourself you keep behind a mask—because you don’t know how to put them into words, or whether anyone will listen.

When someone tells you they’re seeing a psychologist, how do you feel?
Do you grow uncomfortable? Change the subject?
Or do you recognize it for what it is—a step toward care?

Just because pain is invisible doesn’t mean it’s easy to carry.
Unlike physical wounds, emotional pain often leaves no visible marks. It goes unseen, unspoken, and too often unsupported.

Through My Eyes is a community-powered gallery created to make invisible emotional pain visible—and to help normalize seeking support. Through art, writing, and lived experience, the exhibition invites visitors to step into the inner worlds of others and see what often goes unnoticed.

Featuring 47 anonymous stories and artworks shared by people across Taiwan, the gallery reveals emotional realities shaped by identity, family expectations, cultural pressure, trauma, silence, and healing. Behind every smile, every mask, is a story—and no two are the same.

Created as a safe and compassionate space, Through My Eyes affirms a simple truth: emotional well-being deserves the same care, respect, and urgency as physical health. Ignoring pain, hiding it, or pushing through it does not make it disappear—it deepens it.

As you move through the exhibition, you are invited not just to observe, but to pause. To listen. To reflect. To challenge assumptions. To recognize shared emotions across different lives—and to consider how we support one another when someone reaches out for help.

Step inside. Slow down.
And experience what it truly means to see through someone else’s eyes.
