傳統民俗中，上元節是天官賜福的日子，人們會進行祈福活動、吃特色飲食，入夜後提著燈走出門，夜遊、賞燈，祈求一年好運。在臺灣，各地發展出許多獨具特色的上元節民俗活動。本展將帶領大家認識這些多元的民俗文化活動，一起走入四大展區：「上元好年頭」運用現代遊戲科技引出起源與各地特色民俗，感受上元節慶風貌；「上元好味」邀請大家體驗上元節相關飲食文化，分享共食的人情味；「上元好暝」展出國寶級藝師們精湛的花燈工藝作品，蘊含著文化的記憶與祝願的力量；「遞出臺灣的文化名片」介紹12項「臺灣非物質文化遺產潛力名錄」，展現臺灣豐富的文化生命力。展出期間將推出10場趣味民俗體驗活動，詳情請關注文化部文化資產局FB網站。
In traditional folk customs, the Lantern Festival is a day when the Heavenly Officials bestow blessings. People engage in prayer activities for good fortune for the coming year. This exhibition will introduce to visitors the diverse folk cultural activities in Taiwan with four themed zones. A Good Year Beginning with the Lantern Festival employs modern gaming technology to trace the origins of the festival and highlight regional customs. Lantern Festival Goodies invites everyone to experience the culinary culture associated with the festival. A Wonderful Lantern Festival Night showcases the lantern craftsmanship by national treasures. Presenting the Cultural Identity of Taiwan introduces 12 items from the List of Potential Intangible Cultural Heritage of Taiwan, demonstrating the exuberant cultural vitality of the island.
