I, William Lin, invite audiences to join me this afternoon, embracing music and warmth to build a path towards confidence and independence for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through the theme “Prelude of Glimmer”, each melody symbolizes a gentle light, lighting the courage of intellectually disabled individuals to pursue their dreams.
The Children Are Us Foundation has continuously been committed to the “Employment Empowerment Program”, accompanying individuals with disabilities through daily life training, professional skill development, and sheltered employment, building the vital foundations for an independent future. With the assistance of the foundation and society, participants learn to bake bread, provide food services, and perform basic packaging tasks, building confidence and accomplishing the belief that “I can” through their daily efforts.
Through this charity piano recital, I hope to introduce audiences to individuals with intellectual disability to a greater extent. Although their pace may be slower, they continue moving forward with integrity and resilience. I sincerely invite you to join us, utilize the power of music to lighten the path of individuals, support their vocational preparation and employment readiness, and help them towards a stable and secure future, fulfilled with hope.
