本場講座由音樂導聆人 林伯杰 主講，聚焦當今世界首席女高音之一——娜汀．席雅拉（Nadine Sierra）。她以高度辨識的聲線特質與細膩而具說服力的舞台表現，活躍於紐約大都會歌劇院、巴黎歌劇院與米蘭斯卡拉歌劇院等國際頂尖舞台，成為 21 世紀歌劇舞台上備受矚目的代表性聲音。
講座將從三個關鍵面向切入：
「聲線的凝聚力」——解析她如何將技巧、音色與角色意識整合成一條具有說服力的聲音線條；
「舞台的敘事力」——探討她如何透過聲音與表演，讓角色的情感與故事在舞台上真正成立；
「時代的生成力」——理解她如何在當代歌劇環境中形成影響力，並反映 21 世紀歌劇美學的轉向。

Which voices are shaping the way we listen to opera in the 21st century?
In this lecture, music commentator and presenter Pokey Lin explores the artistry of Nadine Sierra, one of today’s leading sopranos on the international opera stage. Renowned for her highly distinctive vocal quality and compelling stage presence, Sierra regularly appears at major opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, the Paris Opera, and Teatro alla Scala.
The lecture examines her artistry through three key perspectives:
The Integrative Power of the Voice, focusing on how vocal technique, tone, and character awareness converge;
Narrative Power on Stage, addressing how voice and physical presence bring operatic characters to life;
and The Power of an Era in the Making, considering how Sierra’s career reflects broader shifts in contemporary operatic aesthetics.
This talk offers not only an introduction to a major operatic figure, but also a guided listening framework for understanding how opera stars are formed in our time.
