❍ Workshop Description
In “Be Water, My Friend”, we enter the body as a fluid environment and investigate how perception, identity, and communication shift when we move from this oceanic state.
Through touch, somatic movement, voice, and dance improvisation, we explore the dialogue between inner and outer worlds — how fluid intelligence shapes our presence, our relationships, and our ability to express.
This workshop explores:
- Embryological fluid body & our primordial origins
- Oceanic communication between body systems
- Silence–dynamics, center–periphery, being–doing
- Fluid spirals, waves, support & expression
- Organ system movement and fluid pathways
- Water-bag body & mutual fluid support
Listening becomes the doorway into support, deep connection, and a tuned, resonant state of being.
* 3-Days intensive workshop is designed for all bodies with or without experiences.
One-Day pass and JAM pass are limited to those who had 2+ years experiences in CI practice.
* Language: English and Chinese translation
❍ Practice Components
During this three-day journey, we will work with:
- Poong-gyung and tuning practice
- Body-Mind Centering® principles
- Contact improvisation: solo, partnering, and group scores
- Somatic voice and sound explorations
- Writing, verbal reflection, and embodied research
- Fluid movement studies: primitive axes, phylogenetic progressions, organ dance
Timetable

❍ About Contact Improvisation
Contact Improvisation (CI) is a movement language based on weight sharing, rolling, listening, and relational awareness.
It does not focus on technique or aesthetics but instead explores:
- How to find trust inside the body
- How to use weight instead of force
- How to stay free within physical contact
- How to locate a shared center while moving dynamically
We hope to bring the essence of international CI training to Taiwan through an immersive intensive format.
With the accommodation option, participants can avoid travel fatigue and sink into the restorative rhythm of the mountains.
Over the course of three days, the sensory experience gradually deepens—flowing, settling, and becoming an extended breath held by the space.
This immersive structure creates continuity and allows the learning to integrate more profoundly than single-day workshops.
❍ Who is this for?
This workshop is suitable for:
- Anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of Contact Improvisation
- Those seeking emotional movement, release, and flow through the body
- People wanting to rebuild trust and a sense of safety with themselves and others
- Anyone needing a break from daily life and time to recharge in nature
- Participants who want consistent, continuous bodywork over three days
No dance experience is required — only curiosity.
