這次由來自美國波士頓的雕塑藝術家 David Snyder 教授，帶來他在太平山城藝棧與罾仔寮社區的駐村創作發表。 邀請大家一起在山城的午後，感受作品如何把在地駐村的生活日常，轉譯成藝術作品。

This session features Prof. David Snyder, a artist from Boston, USA, presenting the outcomes of his residency at TaiPing Art Hub and within the Tsan-Zi-Liao community. We warmly invite you to join us in the hillside city this afternoon and experience how everyday life during the residency is translated into an artwork.

David Snyder
曾於多處美術館與畫廊展出，包括洛杉磯漢默美術館（Hammer Museum）舉辦的首屆「Made in LA：洛杉磯雙年展」、托倫斯藝術博物館（Torrance, CA）、洛杉磯 Honor Fraser 畫廊、紐約 Clifton Benevento 畫廊、倫敦卑爾根雙年展、北京 798 藝術區，以及東京國立近代美術館（MOMAT）。目前由洛杉磯 Michael Benevento 畫廊代理。多場個展曾見諸《紐約時報》、《洛杉磯時報》、Art Agenda、Contemporary Art Daily、Artforum、Frieze 與《Sculpture Magazine》等刊物之評介。曾任教於康乃爾大學與鮑登學院，現為波士頓大學雕塑系主任，同時擔任視覺藝術學院研究所主任。
David’s work has been exhibited at the Hammer Museum’s inaugural Made in LA: Los Angeles Biennial, the Torrance Art Museum (Torrance, CA), Honor Fraser Gallery (Los Angeles), Clifton Benevento Gallery (New York), the Bergen Biennial (London), the 798 Arts District (Beijing), and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (MOMAT). He is represented by Michael Benevento Gallery (Los Angeles). His solo exhibitions have been covered by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Art Agenda, Contemporary Art Daily, Artforum, Frieze, and Sculpture Magazine. He has taught at Cornell University and Bowdoin College, and currently serves as Chair of Graduate Studies in Sculpture at Boston University and Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Visual Arts.
