Simple Noodle Art invites you to join the immersive AI interactive film preview of Trance — Exploring the Forms of the Virtual.
【Artwork Introduction】
The title “Trance” has a dual meaning: it signifies both a focused state of immersion in the virtual world and the fleeting moments of distraction that pull us back to reality. As technologies like VR, AI, and projection expand the boundaries of perception, these moments reveal not only technical limitations but also cracks through which we can rethink the relationship between immersion and technology. Even without technological mediation, a painting, a book, or a melody can evoke immersion. At the same time, in today’s world of short videos, games, and social media, the virtual has already seeped into daily life.
Trance — Exploring the Forms of the Virtual is a three-channel interactive short film powered by AI. Using crowd analysis and head pose recognition, the system detects audience attention and dynamically alters the storyline. The work invites viewers to experience the artist’s reflections on the tensions and questions raised by rapidly evolving technologies in daily life and new media art.
