40 年前，這群記者忠實記錄了台灣社會上 4043 場陳抗、273 次社運。他們以鏡頭為筆，捕捉時代的吶喊與群眾的身影，為那個年代的熱血留下最真實的見證。《民主之眼》透過這些攝影師的視角，以照片為骨幹、訪談補充血肉，回望這段走來艱辛卻深刻的民主之路。
12/13（六）— 12/13 《民主之眼》第二部

第二部〈多元〉 台灣一直是個多種族的社會。在這塊島嶼上，各個時代都存在 著族群的衝突與融合。種族議題總是伴隨著政治、經濟與文化 等因素的影響；我們曾經無知或無奈地犯錯，但也能快速地修正與包容，使台灣成為今天多元文化的社會。
12/14（日）— 《民主之眼》第一部
與談人：鍾宜杰、劉振祥
第一部〈破繭〉描述的是臺灣自二戰後至2000年代民主化的法制改革歷程。影片中介紹了白色恐怖以及美麗島事件、機場事件、520農民運動、野百合學運、遠化罷工等1980-1990年代重大社會運動。
這段時期是台灣社會運動最頻繁的時期，同時也為日後民主法制改革鋪路。影片中透過人權運動家艾琳達、攝影家劉振祥、謝三泰、潘小俠、黃子明、蔡明德等人，以及曾經參與學運的社會學者陳信行，詳述當年這些事件的始末。
Forty years ago, this group of journalists faithfully documented 4,043 protests and 273 social movements across Taiwan. With their cameras as their pens, they captured the cries of the era and the faces of the crowds, preserving the most authentic record of that passionate time. Eyes on Democracy looks back on Taiwan’s challenging yet profound path toward democratization through the perspectives of these photographers—using images as its backbone and interviews as its flesh.

Part II: “Diversity”
Taiwan has always been a multi-ethnic society. Across different eras, the island has witnessed both conflict and integration among its various groups. Ethnic issues have long been intertwined with political, economic, and cultural forces. Though mistakes were once made—out of ignorance or helplessness—Taiwan has also shown the capacity to learn quickly and to embrace differences, allowing it to grow into the multicultural society it is today.
12/14 (Sun) — Eyes on Democracy, Part I

Part I: “Emergence”
This section traces Taiwan’s legal and democratic reforms from the post–World War II era to the 2000s. The film revisits major historical and social events, including the White Terror, the Kaohsiung Incident, the Airport Incident, the May 20th Farmers’ Movement, the Wild Lily Student Movement, and the Far Eastern Chemical strike—defining social movements of the 1980s and 1990s.
This period marked the peak of Taiwan’s social activism and laid the foundation for the democratic and legal reforms that followed. Through the voices of human rights activist Linda Gail Arrigo; photographers Liu Chen-hsiang, Hsieh San-tai, Pan Hsiao-hsia, Huang Tzu-ming, and Tsai Ming-te; as well as sociologist Chen Hsin-hsing, who participated in student movements, the film recounts these pivotal events in detail.
