This course is designed for actors seeking to develop a natural, spontaneous presence on camera while leaening about essential principals about lighting, sound, makeup, and self-taping. Through a blend of personal storytelling, partner work, technical exercises, spatial awareness, and audition preparation, you'll learn to deliver compelling, authentic performances for the screen.
What You'll Learn

Cultivate a genuine on-camera presence by tapping into personal experiences and emotions, ensuring your performance feels spontaneous and alive. - Emotional Honesty & Connection:
Ground your acting in the Meisner approach: listen intently, react truthfully, and stay present, fostering a powerful connection with both your scene partners and your audience. - Technical Mastery:
Gain practical skills in camera setup, lighting, sound, and makeup. Learn how to adapt your performance to various technical environments for seamless on-screen portrayal. - Collaboration & Spatial Awareness:
Understand eyelines, camera angles, and spatial dynamics to naturally connect with scene partners and your environment. - Self-Taping & Audition Techniques:
Master self-taping methods, from setting up a recording space to delivering confident audition tapes, combining emotional truth with technical savvy.
The event will be conducted in bilingual. Both English and Chinese speakers are welcome.
