在19世紀末的阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯(Benos Aires)開始跳起了探戈，但對於探戈的起源，眾說紛紜，有人說因為舞會上落單的男性開始兩人跳，有人說是一種決鬥，有人說是在酒館裡求愛的舞蹈，但我們都知道的是，那時候布宜諾斯艾利斯的港口是匯集最多人的地方。 我們都被探戈音樂裡濃郁的浪漫與情感張力給勾住了心，在電影裡我們常常聽到探戈音樂跟曖昧與愛情綁在一起，但探戈其實不是只有一種面向，而只有阿根廷歌曲才能是探戈嗎？那可不一定。
Winnie身為一位探戈鋼琴家，同時也是一位作曲家，這次演出將帶來他精彩的探戈改編音樂。 而演出嘉賓呢？ 我們確實很常看見兩位男性的舞蹈，但是兩位女性呢？ Winnie與Sandy是合作多年的二重奏組合，從流行、爵士、民謠、探戈他們都感到好奇且持續探索各種不同的聲音可能。 在音樂的Duet裡，我們也常常有領導(Leader)與跟隨(Follower)之分，但其實那之間的張力在於角色的替換。 所以1/25日，探戈與兩位女性到底能擦出什麼火花呢？敬請期待吧！
Tango began in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late 19th century. While its origins are debated - some say it started when single men danced together at balls, others claim it was a form of dueling, or a courtship dance in taverns - we know that the Buenos Aires port was the city's most crowded gathering place at the time. We're all captivated by the rich romance and emotional tension in tango music. While films often link tango music with romance and love, tango has multiple facets, and it's not limited to just Argentine songs.
As both a tango pianist and composer, Winnie will present her brilliant tango arrangements in this performance. And the guest performers? While we often see two male dancers, what about two women? Winnie and Sandy are a duo who have collaborated for years, exploring various genres from pop to jazz, folk, and tango. In musical duets, there's often a distinction between Leader and Follower, but the tension lies in the exchange of these roles. So on January 25th, what sparks will fly between tango and these two women? Stay tuned!
