活動簡介

《天光照壁》是延續1946年6月劇作家簡國賢發表的獨幕劇《壁》,1946年6月9日至13日於臺北市中山堂公演,由當時知名廣播員宋非我主演。演出舞臺以牆壁隔成兩邊,而《天光照壁》是運用人權園區內的紀念碑以及高牆內、高牆外作為實體的一體兩面之寫照。在《壁》獨幕劇中表現的是一邊是吃香喝辣、囤積貨物的富人,一邊是因物價騰升、幾近餓死的平民。劇終前貧民敲擊牆壁嘶喊著「壁!」(Piah),揭發社會的不平、隔閡,也是對貪瀆剝削的絕望控訴。 吳濁流還曾描述觀劇後的感想:「民國三十五年起,社會似乎漸顯不安起來。那時有齣社會劇「牆」(應為「壁」),在中山堂公演,真是轟動一時,可是不久就被禁。此劇內容甚為簡單,是描寫一面牆的兩邊,一邊過的是奢華的生活,另一邊卻是三餐不繼。與其說因為對白有諷刺,演技上乘,倒不如說是因為用的是臺語,人人可懂,因而博得大眾空前的歡迎。」但後來遭查禁不得演出。

而《天光照壁》是一場向大時代致敬的歷史環境劇場,一場聚集口述歷史、史料影像、文字紀錄、環境空間、音樂創作、肢體溝通、戲劇闡述的跨域整合演出,將觀眾群分成六個故事線《歷史場景重現~洗衣工廠洗衣區》、《天光天暗天無明~押區》、《解封放風自由風~放封區》,藉由六條故事線一同走進到仁愛樓內,進入一層又一層生命的幽谷,藉由戲劇、文本、口述的引導讓觀眾能夠從第一人稱體驗到第三人稱的角度,一起感同身受人權鬥士們曾經守護的自由價值,以及闡述兒童人權、婦女人權等議題,開拓及閱讀人權革命的不同過往與底層的聲音。到了夜幕時刻,再次引導觀眾群回到紀念碑的位置,佐以史料影像投影在紀念碑上,再次讓大家一同再次閱覽生命的光譜,並在這一趟的巡禮後,一同照見生命的峭壁與見證生命的堅毅。劇終前所有演員敲擊牆壁嘶喊著臺語的「壁!」來向簡國賢以及所有為人權抗爭的鬥士們致敬。

Historic Environmental Theater|Invisible in Visible

 

"A Light Shining on the Wall" serves as a development of Jian Guoxian's theater work from June 1946, "The Wall." "The Wall" was performed from June 9th to June 13th, 1946 at the Zhongshan Hall in Taipei, with famous radio broadcaster Song Fei as the main character.

 

The stage on which the performance took place was divided into two sides by a wall. "A Light Shining on the Wall" uses the memorial plaque of the park as this wall, as a portrayal of the inside and outside of a wall.

 

In "The Wall", one side lives well, with the wealthy hoarding goods. The other side is a place of high prices, in which the average person is near death from starvation.

 

Before the play ends, the poor knock on the wall, shouting "Piah!", exposing the inequality of society. This is also a desperate indictment of corruption and exploitation.

 

Wu Chuo-liu described the emotions of the audience as such:

 

"Starting from Minguo 35, the unease of society became visible. During that time, the theater work, "The Wall" was performed at the Zhongshan Hall and caused a sensation. Not long after, the work was banned."

 

"The work itself was simple, describing a wall dividing two sides, one side living a luxurious life, and the other side not even having three meals. Because of the satire of the dialogue and the top-class skills of the actors, or because it spoke Taiwanese, people could understand. And so it was welcomed by the public." Unfortunately, later on, the work could not be performed. 

 

"A Light Shining on the Wall" is a work of environmental theater that pays tribute to the era. It assembles oral history, historical images, textual documentation, ambient space, musical creation, bodily communication, and dramatic exposition in order to create an interdisciplinary performance.

 

The story is divided into six plot threads, "Reimagining the Historical Perspective: Laundry Workers at Work," "Dawn, Dusk, Daily Ignorance: In the Jail," "Breathing in the Air of Liberty: The Restricted Area", All six storylines proceed toward the Ren'ai Building, where each level shows a deep valley of life.

 

Through this drama, script, and oral history, the play aims to allow audience members to able to experience the play from both a first-person and third-person perspective. This can allow for a collective experience of how human rights activists seek to defend the values of freedom, the rights of a child, women, and other issues, to illustrate the revolution of human rights at different strata and as felt throughout history.

 

When night falls, this will lead the audience back to the memorial plaque. With the projection of historical images on the plaque, this can allow everyone to again understand the spectrum of life, that after making this pilgrimage, they can understand the steep precipice of life and witness life perseveringly. Before the end, all of the actors will pound the wall and shout in Taiwanese, "Piah!", as a salute to Jian Guoxian and others who fought for human rights.

滅火器

來自南台灣高雄的滅火器樂團成立於 2000 年,由主唱楊大正(Sam),吉他手鄭宇辰(ORio),貝斯手陳敬元(JC)三位高中同班同學以及鼓手柯光(KG) 組成。至今發行六張完整專輯及多首單曲;以龐克搖滾為基調,歌詞真實的反應時代與生活,貼近大眾,引發許多共鳴。傳唱度極高的晚安台灣、海上的人、島嶼天光、長途夜車、十二月的妳……等歌曲,讓滅火器成為這個時代的代表性樂團。多次入圍金曲、金音等各項大獎,且榮獲第二十六屆金曲獎最佳年度歌曲及第三十一屆金曲最佳樂團獎。

報名群眾觀賞演出之注意事項

一:本次『天光照壁』為沈浸式不義遺址歷史環境劇場之演出模式,演出內容有部分的行為、語言、用字、遣詞為保護級內容,意即建議未滿六歲之兒童不宜觀賞,六歲以上十二歲未滿之兒童須父母、師長或成年親友陪伴輔導觀賞。

 

二:本次演出因應配合演出內容、劇本、故事等情節,會以不規則、流動式的觀看方式,進入到不義遺址當中,建議未滿六歲之兒童『不宜觀賞、以防走失』,六歲以上十二歲未滿之兒童須父母、師長或成年親友陪伴輔導觀賞。

 

三:演出當中會有『經過訓練的演出人員』以故事中所飾演的角色,隨機的對觀眾進行演出之對話、碰觸、叫囂、施壓、偵訊、拘押等演出行為,但經過訓練的演出人員不會刻意、無端、故意、蓄意導致觀賞人員身體上的傷害跟侵犯,若是您不願意被碰觸、不願意加入演出情節,可以搖頭拒絕,跟演出人員表明便可,行使您的身體自主權。若是您想要體驗當時歷史背景空間的歷史創傷,請相信我們的演出人員之引導,跟著進入這一段時空的長河。
