📍 From Island to Island, which recently won the Million Dollar Grand Prize and Best Documentary at the Taipei Film Festival, is a nearly five-hour documentary exploring the historical relationships between Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, and other Southeast Asian countries during World War II. The film will be screened and discussed with the director and scholars across Taiwan to reignite reflections on wartime morality and responsibility ahead of the 80th anniversary of WWII in 2025, encouraging continued inquiry into the history of our land.

台灣在二戰期間是日本帝國的一部分。本片以此為主題，努力挖掘和重新整理台灣在二戰期間的隱藏記憶，探索在日本帝國內的台灣士兵、醫生與生活在東南亞的海外台灣人之經歷。全片從兒子對父親的提問開場，透過跨世代的對話、家書、日記和家庭成員之間的影片，探討台灣歷史記憶的複雜性，以及這一時期存在的各種身分。
During World War II, Taiwan was part of the Japanese Empire. This documentary explores the experiences of Taiwanese soldiers, doctors, and overseas residents in Southeast Asia during that time. Using cross-generational memory dialogues, family letters, diaries, and videos, the film addresses the complexities of Taiwan's historical memory and diverse identities during that period.

- Each session will feature a post-screening discussion with the director and experts, conducted in Chinese.

- 活動時長６小時，含 10 分鐘中場休息與１小時映後座談，敬請全程參與。
- 每人限索一張票，請至 ACCUPASS 選取欲觀賞之場次，座位數量有限，索完為止。
- 活動開演前 10 分鐘開放觀眾出示索票之 QR Code 入場，採自由入座，或由工作人員分發票券，皆不得指定座位。
- 本次放映含一次中場休息，工作人員將於觀眾進場時蓋章識別。中場休息期間請自行留意座位之貴重物品，並於中場十分鐘結束前出示手章入場。
- 為維護觀影品質，節目開演 20 分鐘後、中場休息 20 分鐘後，不再開放觀眾入場，敬請準時參與。

➤ Terms & Conditions
- The event will last 6 hours, including a 10-minute intermission and a 1-hour post-screening discussion; full attendance is encouraged.
- Each individual is limited to one ticket. Please select your desired screening on ACCUPASS; seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Audience members may enter 10 minutes before the event by presenting the QR Code from their ticket; seating is unassigned, either by free choice or by staff distribution of vouchers.
- This screening includes one intermission, during which staff will stamp for identification. Please keep an eye on your valuable items during the break and present your hand stamp for re-entry before the 10-minute intermission ends.
- To maintain the quality of the viewing experience, entry will not be permitted 20 minutes after the program starts or 20 minutes after the intermission. Please arrive on time.

- Due to cinema scheduling, the film's start time may be moved up or delayed by half an hour. Please allow for an hour of buffer time. Staff will notify ticket holders of the official start time by Thursday evening of the screening week; please stay alert for this information.
- Given limited resources, if a ticket holder is unable to attend, please release the ticket on ACCUPASS or message the "From Island to Island" fan page for assistance with the refund process.
- The film is rated "Parental Guidance." Children under six years old are not recommended to watch. Children aged six to under twelve must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult friend. If there is a discrepancy in age upon entry, the organizers reserve the right to deny admission.
