為接軌國際並扶植桃園在地青年設計師、高中職及大專院校設計科(系)發展， 桃園市政府結合國際締盟城市及國際設計領域領先城市之學校、業者及專家， 共同參與策展與論壇，進而激發出桃園設計能量與創新思維，提升桃園設計產 業發展，形塑台灣設計之都在桃園。活動於2024年11月10日隆重舉辦， 本次活動邀請到國際大師進行主題演講，並進行兩場焦點對談，激勵青年設計 創意，促進國際設計交流。 本次論壇匯集世界各地設計專家、學者及業界領袖，包括來自城市美學運動 Open House Worldwide發源地Open House London的負責人、威尼斯美術學院亞州計畫、桃園姊妹市千葉大學的永續專家、越南設計週以及越南設計獎的 創始人…等講者；除了精彩的演講與主題討論外，現場還設有青年設計展區， 展示了來自包含至今已有130年的歷史的日本建築師事務所三菱地所首席建築 師藤貴彰、新加坡樟宜機場瀑布配合的混合實境負責公司、威尼斯、日本、越 南設計師、桃園設計庫設計師…等作品展出，此外，桃園市在地五所大學與三 所高中學校也參與本次策展，展出學生精采作品。 這些作品不僅展現了設計的 美學價值，更反映出對未來社會發展的深刻思考，期待一起共同探討全球設計未來、新興科技與設計的結合、以及設計如何在不同文化背景下發揮 影響力。論壇主題以「設計未來」主軸，透過設計的視角，促進國際思維、交流與合作。
In order to meet international standards and support the local young designers, design departments in high schools, vocational schools, and colleges in Taoyuan City, the Taoyuan City Government has teamed up with schools, companies, and experts from international cities allied with Taoyuan City and schools located in leading cities in the field of international design to participate in the curation and forum. Thus, this event will stimulate Taoyuan’s design power and innovative thinking, enhance the development of Taoyuan’s design industry, and build the design capital of Taiwan in Taoyuan. The event will be held from November 10th, 2024. We will invite international design masters to give talks and conduct two focus discussions to stimulate youth design creativity and promote international design exchanges. The Forum brings together design experts, scholars, and industry leaders from all over the world, including the head of Open House London, the home of the urban aesthetic campaign Open House Worldwide, the head of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, the sustainability expert from Chiba University in Chiba, Taoyuan’s sister city, and the founders of the Vietnam Design Week and the Vietnam Design Awards. In addition to the wonderful speeches and discussions, there is also a youth design exhibition area, displaying works from the 130-year-old Japanese architectural firm Mitsubishi Jisho, chief architect Fuji Takiaki, the company in charge of the mixed reality of the waterfalls at Singapore Changi Airport, designers from Venice, Japan, and Vietnam, and the Taoyuan Design Cool. There are also five local universities and three senior high schools from Taoyuan City participating in this exhibition, displaying the excellent works created by their students. These pieces not only demonstrate the aesthetic value of design, but also reflect profound thinking about the future development of society. We look forward to discussing the global design future, the integration of emerging technology and design, and how design can make an impact in different cultural backgrounds together. The theme of the forum is “Design for the Future”, which promotes international thinking, exchange, and cooperation through the perspective of design.
