他們同時還運營著 Hoa Quỳnh Cinema(一個起自 2021 年的親密、即興的放映與製作計畫)。

Out of Space: sense of belongings and (non)physicality of space -
a reflection from ba-bau AIR practice
"Out of Space" invites you to a reflective sharing of how we experience belonging and navigate space, drawing from the ba-bau Artist in Residence (AIR) program and the broader concept of AIR as atmosphere. This presentation will delve into how we engage with both the physical spaces we inhabit and the more intangible, atmospheric qualities of our environments.
▍ba-bau AIR
Founded in 2019, ba-bau AIR is an alternative space: a kitchen, a studio, an artist-in-residence and whatever it could be in Hanoi. ba-bau is a collective (2021) with curators, producers, and artists. Their practices focus on designing safe spaces, curation & producing exhibitions, designing programs, emerging interdisciplinary collaborations & community-based work. They are running ba-bau AIR - a flexible space (artist-in-residence, kitchen, studio) in Hanoi (2019-) and Hoa Quỳnh Cinema (an intimate, impromptu screening project & production since 2021). ba-bau's works have appeared/exhibited at Ngọc Thuỵ wet market, Hà Nội (2023-2024), VIVA ExCon, the Philippines (2023), documenta fifteen, Kassel, Germany (2022), Asia Art Archive, Hong Kong/NYC (2022, 2023), Vietnamese Women's Museum (2022), Thai Nguyen University (2021), cyberspace (2021-2023)
▍ba-bau Collective
Dinh Thao Linh is a Vietnam based multi/interdisciplinary artist-curator-producer who strives to create spaces of expression - whether physical, temporal, or psychological - where people from different communities are brought together. Notions of her works and her works move around the small corners of ba-bau AIR house, 82A Tho Nhuom, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi to other places: Thái Nguyên University (Thái Nguyên, Việt Nam, 2021), documenta fifteen (Kassel, Germany, 2022), Vietnamese Women’s Museum (Hanoi, Vietnam, 2022), VIVA ExCon 2023 (Antique, Panay Island, the Philippines, 2023), Conflictorium (Ahmedabad, India, 2024).
Kieu-Anh Nguyen is an interdisciplinary artist based in Hanoi, Vietnam. She enjoys creating spaces to foster inclusive conversations underrepresented bodies and narratives, notably about women.
Her art practice has foregrounded olfaction as the core line of inquiry to explore memory tracing and care practice, as it has taken the forms of participation, soft sculpture and often suggests travels between time, spaces, and sensory experiences.
Her work was exhibited in various spaces, including VIVA ExCon, Vietnamese Women’s Museum, Asia Art Archive and documenta fifteen.
Kieu-Anh is the co-director of ba-bau AIR (Hanoi, 2019-) and co-founder of ba-bau collective (2021-)
