2024年，AI（人工智慧）瞬間成為顯學，網路世界的千變萬化再也不是傳說，透過AI針對大量數據進行前所未有的深入分析，可以強化人類對問題的識別與預防，工作效率因此可以大幅提昇，以常規定型特質為主的工作內容，將由AI取代執行，人類也可以把時間和精力，轉而投注於創新與戰略規劃，進而提高整體競爭力。
而在文化和娛樂領域，AI技術也正以驚人的速度，席捲我們的整體體驗與創作方式。客製化的內容推薦，讓我們可以輕易找到自己喜愛的影視作品，獲得觀影與欣賞的滿足感。AI技術可以自動生成視覺效果與特效，有效提升影視製作的工作效率，並降低製作成本。AI的語音辨識與語義分析技術，可以輕易提高字幕翻譯的速度和準確度，推動影像作品的全球發行。而透過AI對大數據的分析，音樂的生成與腳本的撰寫，也都可以迅速找到能夠深受市場歡迎的模式，大幅降低工作時間，並有效開創各種可能性。
全球公共媒體面對這波AI巨浪，也乘勢而起，站在浪尖，看得更高更遠，運用AI的新科技把媒體的公共服務推向極致，和全球觀眾建立更深刻、更有意義的連結。今年的公共電視國際研討會，就將以此為主軸，邀請全球公共媒體工作者，到現場分享運用各種AI技術推動公共服務的實際案例，同時了解什麼是負責任的AI使用，如何有效監管。

In 2024, AI has rapidly become a prominent field of research, and the ever-changing nature of the online world is no longer a thing of myth. Through unprecedented in-depth analysis of vast amounts of data with AI, human capabilities in identifying and preventing problems have been significantly enhanced, thereby greatly improving work efficiency. In the future, routine tasks characterized by standard patterns will be executed by AI, allowing humans to dedicate their time and energy to innovation and strategic planning, thus boosting overall competitiveness.
In the cultural and entertainment sectors, AI technology is sweeping through our overall experience and creative processes at an astonishing speed. Personalized content recommendations enable us to easily find our favorite movies and shows, providing satisfaction in viewing and enjoyment. AI technology can automatically generate visual effects and special effects, effectively improving the efficiency of film and television production and reducing production costs. AI’s voice recognition and semantic analysis technologies can easily enhance the speed and accuracy of subtitle translations, promoting the global distribution of visual works. Through AI’s analysis of big data, music creation and scriptwriting can quickly find market-friendly patterns, significantly reducing work time and effectively creating various possibilities.
Global public media is riding this wave of AI innovation, standing at the forefront and gaining a broader vision. By leveraging new AI technologies, public media services are being pushed to their peak, establishing deeper and more meaningful connections with audiences worldwide. This year's PTS International Symposium will focus on this theme, inviting global public media professionals to share practical cases of using various AI technologies to enhance public service. Additionally, the conference will explore what responsible AI usage entails and how to effectively regulate it.
This is a renewal of technology and an innovation in practice, worthy of reference by public media professionals, reflection by media workers, and participation by all who benefit from public services.

"Kristian在公共媒體支援及倡議都有豐富的工作經驗，他有非政府組織部門 、編輯管理、規劃活動和記者背景。他有為PMA工作的全球經驗，與協會成員和合作夥伴一起開展遊說、建立關係、制定策略、進行研究和計畫。Kristian熱衷於倡導媒體自由與獨立，是東安格里亞大學的副教師。
Kristian參與Public Broadcasters International (PBI)的指導委員會，也負責全球公共媒體任務組織 GTF（Global Task Force for public media）秘書處業務。
Kristian is the CEO of the Public Media Alliance, the largest global association of Public Service Media organisations.
Kristian has extensive experience working in public media support and advocacy, with a background in the NGO sector, editorial management, events, and as a journalist. He has worked globally in his roles for PMA and works with the association’s membership and partners to develop campaigns, relationships, strategies, research, and projects. He is a passionate advocate for media freedom and independence, and he is an associate tutor at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Kristian also sits on the steering committee for the Public Broadcasters International (PBI) conference and runs the secretariat for the Global Task Force for public media (GTF)."

Eric Scherer 於法國電視台擔任新聞實驗室暨國際事務部總監，同時也是現任歐洲廣播聯盟（EBU）新聞委員會的主任。
他也曾任職於法新社、路透社，職務類型涵蓋新聞、管理、業務發展、策略制定和新媒體等領域，並在日本、北美和歐洲等地有豐富的工作經驗。
在他的個人部落格上，有許多關於數位革命、媒體新聞業該如何適應快速變化產業環境，以及生成式AI等相關文章。他也共同撰寫了無國界記者組織在2023年發表的《人工智慧與新聞業巴黎憲章》。
Eric更活躍於歐洲各地的會議，並著有《數位革命詞彙表》（2009）與《我們還需要記者嗎？》（2011）等書。

Eric Scherer is Director, News MediaLab and International Affairs at France Televisions and is currently EBU News Committee, Chair.
He has spent his career working for Agence France-Presse, Reuters and France Télévisions in a wide range of functions spanning journalism, management, business development, strategy and new media in locations across the globe including Japan, North America and Europe.
He very often blogs at meta-media.fr about his favorite subject: all aspects of the digital revolution and how media industries and journalism should adapt and surf the accelerating pace of change, including generative AI. He co-wrote the 2023 Paris Charter on AI and journalism by Reporters without Borders.
He is a regular speaker at conferences in Europe, and is the author of a glossary La Révolution Numérique (Dalloz 2009), and an essay Do We Still Need Journalists? (PUF 2011).

David Corral是西班牙RTVE的創新管理經理，同時也是研究科技、媒體和國際關係領域的專家。於馬德里康普頓斯大學取得新聞學士後，陸續取得外交及國防領域的碩士學位，並參加麻省理工學院數位轉型專案及EOI/Google的數位轉型就業專案。
他曾任RTVE的記者、編輯和24小時新聞頻道的副主任，他還是一名商用飛行員（JAR-FCL/IFR/PBN/Multi-Engine, MCC and PTLA Theoretical course, Flight Instructor）以及短期國際選舉觀察員，包括阿爾巴尼亞（2009年）、烏克蘭（2014年）、土耳其（2018年）、北馬其頓（2021年）和亞塞拜然（2024年）等地。在2022年和2023年，他分別獲頒歐洲廣播聯盟《技術與創新獎》及國際廣播中心《社會影響力獎》。

David Corral is Manager of Innovation at RTVE and researcher/ communicator specialised in new technologies and media and international relations.
He is a graduate in Journalism, Complutense University of Madrid and has completed studies in Interuniversity Master's Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations, Diplomatic School (Spain), specialisation module in Geostrategy; Master's Degree in National Defence, Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid; University Expert in Intelligence Services. General Gutiérrez Mellado University Institute and UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia); University Diploma in Conflict Prevention, Complutense University of Madrid and Ministry of Defense; MIT Digital Transformation Programme: Technologies and their practical applications and EOI/Google: Digital transformation for employment.
At RTVE he has held various positions such as journalist, editor and Deputy Director of Canal 24 Horas de RTVE. He is also a Commercial Aircraft Pilot (JAR-FCL/IFR/PBN/Multi-Engine, MCC and PTLA Theoretical course, Flight Instructor) and Short-term election observer in international elections such as those held in Albania (2009), Ukraine (2014), Turkey (2018), Macedonia (2021) and Azerbaijan (2024).
He has won several national and international awards as an individual or as part of a group, such as "Social Impact Awards" IBC in 2023 or EBU Technology & Innovation Award in 2022.
Tsubasa Uchida 內田翼

內田翼於2011年起加入NHK。2014年，他從仙台支局轉至科學技術研究實驗室，從事手語轉譯系統的研究與開發。
他目前擔任智慧製作研究部門中無障礙技術小組的成員。在2023年5月到11月間，曾於德國漢堡大學的手語與聾人交流研究所擔任訪問研究員。
Tsubasa Uchida joined NHK in 2011. After working at Sendai Broadcasting Station, he has been engaged in the research and development of sign language avatar system at the Science and Technology Research Laboratories since 2014.
Currently, he is a member of the group researching accessibility technology in the Smart Production Research Department.
From May to November 2023, he was a visiting researcher at the Institute of German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf at the University of Hamburg in Germany.

Rhonwyn Newson 是紐西蘭國家廣播電台（RNZ）的資深策略編輯和新聞編輯組主管。身為編輯，她負責推動數位團隊營運的革新。Rhonwyn不但使觀眾增加了三倍，也建立起一個穩定、高效率且投入的團隊，更成功地將團隊向上整合，促進新聞部內部的協作。對於AI特別感興趣的她，尤其注重新聞編輯上的應用，她相信RNZ能不負使命，產出與推廣高品質的新聞。
Rhonwyn Newson is a strategic senior editor and newsroom leader at RNZ, New Zealand's public broadcaster.
She is the organisation's executive editor, digital, and has implemented changes to the digital team's operations which resulted in audience numbers trebling and a stable, productive and engaged team. Rhonwyn has successfully integrated the team within the wider organisation, helping news departments to be more collaborative. She has a special interest in AI, in particular how to harness AI in modern newsrooms.
She believes in the kaupapa of RNZ and our responsibility to produce, publish and promote exceptional journalism.
