Dear all,
As the COVID-19 situation in Taiwan has escalated to Grade 2 (and might upgrade to Grade 3), we, with much dismay, have come to the decision that the 38th ICETL held on May 21-22, 2021 at Wenzao, will be postponed to July 23-24, 2021. Except for the postponed dates, everything related to the conference will remain the same. Despite the unpredictable pandemic, we would like to maintain the tradition of having academic exchanges in person as intact as possible. Holding a virtual conference instead is not yet our option. We therefore would like to have your understanding and support for this postponement.
However, we also understand your concerns and respect your decision if you cannot participate in this postponed conference. If you decide not to attend the event in July yet you have paid the conference registration fees, please follow the procedure as stated in the previous message for reimbursement. Please note that the deadline for applying for refunding the registration fees at Accupass is at 11:59 PM of May 14, Friday.
Should you decide to participate in the July conference, your original Accupass registration remains valid. Once again, thank you for your understanding!
Conference Theme
Crossroads of Language Education during COVID -19 and Beyond: Convergence and Divergence of Pedagogy and Practice
COVID-19疫情時代語言教育的停、看、聽:教學法與實踐的共相與岐相
Due to the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19 and its ramifications, educators nowadays are forced to rethink the way of how to deliver knowledge to students when the traditional context of learning and teaching in a classroom can no longer apply to the majority. The severe challenge simultaneously provides an opportunity for educators to reflect on their teaching experience, their teaching methods and credos of education for renovation and innovation. The 38th International Conference on Language Teaching and Learning will be held from May 21 to May 22, 2021, at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This conference aims to bring together researchers, teacher educators, and English teaching practitioners from home and abroad to share language education-related experience and research in context of the ever-changing world stage of English teaching and learning.
