建構在三維世界的空間是一個非日常的空間,但有時這些非日常的空間又會讓人聯想到曾經熟悉的空間。究竟虛擬的成像與現實的人與空間之間,存在著什麼連結?是什麼原因使得空間被建立?公共空間與私人空間的區分是因為人的路徑,還是停留時間的長度?黃偉的《日常截面》計畫由此展開,他在這次展覽中,運用「點雲」(point cloud)的空間掃瞄技術記錄空間的構成以及人物動態,並進一步運用點雲進行模擬測試,讓空間數據與聲音連動,一方面讓視覺元素所產生的訊號能驅動聲音,另一方面也反過來從聲音的細節、段落變化來驅動影像轉換與畫面細節元素的變化。黃偉所創造的影音從空間出發,又進一步牽連到空間裡的人物,他們在點雲紀錄的空間數據中,甚至變成了遺留在空間中片段破碎的肢體。黃偉將這些影音創作當成日記,記錄自身周遭的環境與空間,用科技的手段重新思考對於事物的感受。在此展中,他將帶來現場演出,以及一個雙頻道的影像裝置。
Three-dimensional spaces are non-daily spatial structures which generate certain references to real spaces in daily life. How are the virtual images connected to physical spaces and people? Why have the spaces come to existence? And is the division between public and personal spheres out of the path of the users or the period of time the users use? With these fundamental questions, Huang Wei’s Cross-Section of Daily Life applies a “point cloud” space-scanning technique to record the structures of space and movements of people. It further synchronizes the spatial data and sounds through the point cloud simulations. This approach not only drives the transition of sounds with the signals that are produced by visual elements but also drives the transition of images and adjusts their details with changes to the details and sections of sounds. Starting from the elements of a space, the images and sounds that Huang created also influence the people and objects within that space, rendering them shattered extremities that are left in the space in the point cloud spatial data. Huang views his audio-visual creations as diaries that document the environments and spaces around him and reflect his perceptions of those surroundings through technological means. In this exhibition, he presents a live performance and a double-channel video installation.

《實驗通信 CREATORS 2020–21》展覽介紹
在2020年,共有16項創作研發計畫在C-LAB空總臺灣當代文化實驗場進行,主題橫跨敘事、空間、表演、農事、網路輿論、媒體批判、基因改造、聲景採集、歷史檔案、地理踏查、文化交流等。這些計畫透過「CRETATORS創研進駐/支持計畫」,以及臺灣聲響實驗室的「聲鬥陣」項目徵選而來,並以各自的方式持續發展至今。「實驗通信 CREATORS 2020–21」透過展覽、表演與現場活動,集合呈現這16項計畫各自進行中的樣貌。

Signals: CREATORS 2020–21
In 2020, 16 research and creative projects were carried out at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) on topics of narrative, space, performance, agriculture, online public opinions, media criticism, genetic modification, soundscape collection, historical archives, geographical research, and cultural exchange. These projects resulted from open calls for the CREATORS Creation/Research Residency & Support Program and Taiwan Sound Lab’s Sound-Off Program last year and have been undergoing their own stages of development. Through exhibition, live performance and events , Signals: CREATORS 2020–2021 assembles and presents the current progress of these 16 projects.
