計劃介紹
邀請全球非營利視覺藝術空間、藝術組織或團體,討論藝術機構在營運策略上如何因應COVID-19疫情調整,是否進行新型態藝術計畫?藉此了解各國藝術產業現狀,及探討疫情後的復甦策略。自12月至2月期間舉辦三場對談,由國際交流經驗豐富也具備藝術機構經營者身分的蘇瑤華教授擔綱主持,邀請不同國家的藝術機構經營者進行討論。在出不去也難進來的國際交流困境下,從每場不同的議題中共同討論出解決辦法。每場對談以英文為主,僅開放30名觀眾全程參與和講者提問交流,名額有限,千萬不要錯過!
主持人介紹

蘇瑤華(師大美術館籌備處 執行長)
蘇瑤華為藝術經理人、策劃人、教育者,具有多年國際交流與空間經營經驗。曾策畫主持多場國際研討會,包括策畫2012年大學博物館國際合作論壇「大學博物館的新啟蒙運動」、主持2014年「集結台北想像力,共創城市新價值」創意城市國際研討會計畫;主持2016年第一屆藝術資料庫國際研討會。

首場座談主題聚焦於藝術機構於疫情期間進行的線上藝術計劃,邀請到孟加拉Back ART Foundation的總監Shuho Saha、斯里蘭卡Theertha 藝術家聯盟的理事長Godwin Constantine以及台北常態性的音樂活動「失聲祭」策展人賴宗昀分享2020年的線上藝術計劃。

◆Shubho Saha(Back ART Foundation總監)
Shubho O Saha是來自達卡的視覺藝術家及獨立研究者,Back ART Foundation的總監,也是“達卡現場藝術雙年展”(D' LAB)的藝術總監。他以各種媒介工作,例如版畫,表演,雕塑,裝置,影像等,以此表達他無窮無盡的思想。
◇Back ART Foundation
Back ART Foundation即使面對獨自在達卡發起當代藝術計畫的龐大挑戰,仍不畏艱難於2013年成立,自此致力於揉合文化遺產與當代文化,集結多方力量組織活動,擴大達卡的藝術視野。這些活動也是新銳當代藝術家拓展長才的機會,讓以往被傳統藝術機構視為太具野心的實驗性與表演性作品,能藉此機會躍上城市舞台。

◆Godwin Constantine(Theertha創辦人)
Godwin Constantine生於1964年,來自斯里蘭卡,為Vibhavi Academy of Fine Arts及Theertha的創辦人。曾於2019參加PAN Asia (Performance Art Network Asia)與達卡Live Art雙年展,投身於藝術的同時也是作家及文學評論者。
◇Theertha
Theertha是位於斯里蘭卡的藝術家自營空間。 自2000年成立以來,Theertha進行大量的藝術活動。由11位視覺藝術家發起,透過斯里蘭卡國際藝術家研討會促進國際藝術交流,並擴大其活動範圍。

◆賴宗昀(失聲祭策展人)
創作以音像為始,對於生命狀態意義的追尋。近年來,因大量接觸聲響表演後也開始了個人的演出計劃。自行摸索混音器反饋噪音與環境錄音,進行影像與聲音結合的表演。影像取材不少民俗宗教祭儀,配上噪音音牆更顯神秘性。
◇失聲祭
《失聲祭Lacking Sound Festival》(簡稱LSF)為台北常態性的聲音表演活動,自2007年7月開始,一場兩組藝術家演出,每月一場,至今不曾間斷,為臺灣目前場次最多、參與藝術家最多的聲音演出活動,為臺灣2007後聲音藝術的重要活動。

About the Project
We invite international non-profit visual art spaces, art organizations, or groups to discuss how can art institutions modify operation strategies due to COVID-19 and whether it’s necessary to create new forms of art programs. With the discussion, people can have an insight into the current condition of art industries in different countries and can explore the recovery strategies after the epidemic. Three discussions will be held from December to February. Prof. Su Yao-Hua, who is experienced in international communication and an art organization operator, will be the moderator, inviting operators of art organizations from different countries to the discussions. Different topics in different sessions, the panels will come up with solutions with problems of closed borders and international communication dilemma during discussions. Discussions will be presented in mainly English. Only 30 audiences are able to participate in full discussions and Q&A sessions. The audience is limited, apply now!
About the Moderator

Su Yao-Hua (Director of Provisional Office, NTNU Art Museum)
Su Yao-Hua is an art manager, curator, and educator. She has years of experience in international communication and space managing. Moreover, she planned and moderated multiple international seminars, including planning the University Museum International Cooperation Forum in 2012 and moderating the Creative City International Symposium Project in 2014 and the First International Symposium on Art Archives in 2016.
Session 1 REACT
The first discussion focuses on the online art projects that the art organizations launched during COVID-19. Shuho Saha from Bangladesh, director of Back Art Foundation, Godwin Constantine from Sri Lanka, chairman of Theertha International Artists’ Collective, and Lai Tsung-Yun, curator of Lacking Sound Festival in Taipei, are invited to share their respective 2020 online art projects.

About the Panelists and Their Organizations

◆Shubho Saha (Director of Back ART Foundation)
Shubho Saha is a visual artist and an independent researcher from Dhaka. He is also the director of Back ART Foundation and art director of Dhaka Live Art Biennale (D’ LAB). He creates and works with various media to express his everlasting imagination, for instance, printmaking, performance, sculpture, device, and film, etc.
◇Back ART Foundation
Despite the challenge to initiate contemporary art projects in Dhaka alone, Back ART Foundation was formed in 2013 as an endeavor to link heritage with modern culture, combine diverse forces and develop an activity which would open up the city’s art scene, providing emerging contemporary artists opportunities to expand their practice, and exhibit their experimental and performative work deemed too ambitious for conventional institutions.

◆Godwin Constantine(Founder of Theertha)
Godwin Constantine, born in 1964, Sri Lanka, was the founder of Vibhavi Academy of Fine Arts and Theertha. He participated in PAN Asia (Performance Art Network Asia) and Dhaka Live Art Biennale (D’ LAB) in 2019. While devoting himself to art, he is also a writer and literary critic.
◇Theertha
Theertha is an autonomous, artist-led non-profit initiative based in Colombo. Theertha has undertaken a considerable amount of art activities since its inception in 2000. First, started by 11 visual artists to facilitate international art exchange.

◆Lai Tsung-Yun (Curator of Lacking Sound Festival)
First, he creates sounds, then he looks for the meaning of life form. In recent years, Lai Tsung-Yun starts his individual performing projects since contacted to lots of sound performances. He explores mixer feedback and environment recording to undergo performances that combine both video and audio. The video materials contain a lot of folk cultural rituals. Complimenting with the noise barrier, the performances become even more mysterious.
◇Lacking Sound Festival
Lacking Sound Festival, a monthly sound performance event in Taipei, was founded in July 2007. One event will have two artists, and the monthly event has not stopped over the years. Lacking Sound Festival is the sound performance event that has the most sessions and participating artists in Taiwan. It is an important event of post-2007 sound art in Taiwan.
