綠色能源是世界各國未來驅動經濟發展的新引擎，我國政府將綠能科技列為5+2產業創新計畫之一，致力達成114年再生能源發電占比達20%之目標，並兼顧能源安全、綠色經濟及環境永續，穩健具體地落實政府推動再生能源及非核家園的目標。
在風力發電方面，經濟部擬定相關風力發電計畫，預定於114年達到6.9GW(陸域1.2GW，離岸5.7GW)的設置目標，期台灣成為亞太地區風電產業重要的綠色供應鏈，並成為鄰近國家如日本、韓國和越南等國家重要的風電合作夥伴。
“Green energy” or renewable energy is the new engine driving the economic growth of countries in the world. Taiwan government has listed “green energy” technology as one of the “5+2 Industrial Innovation Plan”, and is committed to achieving the goal of 20% of renewable energy power generation by 2025. This takes into account energy security, “green economy”, environmental sustainability, and nuclear-free home-land.
In terms of wind power, MOEA has carved up wind power generation plans, which are scheduled to reach the set target of 6.9 GW (1.2 GW on land and 5.7 GW offshore) by 2025. It is expected that Taiwan will become an important “green supply chain” for the wind power industry in APAC. It is expected that it will become an important wind power partner of neighbouring countries such as Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
