Taiwan has an abundance of available resources, and many of them are perfect for entrepreneurs. To kickstart your journey, the Taiwan Gold Card Office has invited four representatives from different government agencies that support Tech, Innovation, and Creative Arts and Content. We have also invited John Chen, a Gold Card member and cofounder from Hive Ventures to share about his experience setting up and investing in Taiwan. Please remember to register on Accupass! Coffee/Tea and light snacks will be provided.
*All event attendees will be required to fill out a Health Declaration Form upon arrival and must wear a face mask for the entire duration of the event.

About National Development Fund’s Angel Investment Program
In order to strengthen domestic startup investment market and improve the domestic environment for angel investors, the National Development Fund of the Executive Yuan (the NDF hereafter) has launched the Business Angel Investment Program. This program aims at fostering high risk ventures by providing working capital for startups’ operation; moreover, offering coaching services and network connection through the co-investments with angel investors, domestic and overseas investment institution.

Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), established in June 2019 and supervised
by the Ministry of Culture, is a professional intermediary organization that promotes

content industries in Taiwan, including film and television, pop music, publishing,
ACG, and fashion, artworks and cultural technologies.
With advanced information and communication technology infrastructure and
emerging technologies in Taiwan, TAICCA manages National Development Fund to

startups.
Through international distribution channels, TAICCA strives to promote Taiwan’s

About John Chen
John B Chen is a Founder and Managing Partner at Hive Ventures. Previously, John co-founded Buzzinate, a big data company, which later was acquired by iClick Interactive in 2015. As the Executive VP of Technology at iClick, John played an integral role in guiding iClick to a Nasdaq (ICLK) listing in 2017. With a strong background in big data and AI technology and experience in building a big data and AI platform and business from scratch, John has the technical expertise and global business background to help portfolio companies succeed.
