近身探訪設計師的工作場域，觀摩設計工作者及團隊如何進行每日作業，一窺成功品牌背後的關鍵元素。
器研所是2008年由一群熱情且專業的設計人才，共同成立的工業設計公司，擁有細膩的觀察力與多元的創造力，致力於創造理想的使用器具，力求美學與功能的結合，以實用為先，美觀兼具的體驗設計。設計的產品更得過iF、reddot、G-Mark、IDEA等四大國際設計獎的肯定，客戶也遍及四大洲，器研所相當重視團隊專業分工的建立，透過團隊成員各司其職，用對的設計流程，配合對的人，做出對的設計。近年來，更投入開發自有品牌商品，從獨木舟槳到都市自行車，藉此推廣綠色生活態度。
Gear is a tool, an usable object for a specific purpose. Lab is a place to experiment new possibilities GEARLAB creates usable and practical objects for better living. GEARLAB was established by Chung Shih Sun and Henry Chang in 2008 to explore usability and low carbon living through industrial design. We emphasis on how users and object should interact, how to be more intuitive, how to reach goals with less consumption. With clients from Europe, North America, and Asia, GEARLAB continues to create design and business values internationally GEARLAB is also a brand of pedaling and paddling. We now provide urban bicycles and kayak paddles. To encourage human powered mobility with minimal damages to the environment.
器，是具功能性的物件，器研所認為，設計不能只有炫麗的外觀，應該是好用也好看，我們熱衷於探究物品的使用邏輯及功能性，從中發展出兼具實用性及美觀性之設計。設計開放日讓一般民眾，只要是對設計有興趣皆能一探設計公司的日常運作，如何將腦中的點子實現於日常生活中，瞭解器研所如何做設計，和我們一同探討美學與實用性如何能相輔相成。
