What is Chinese painting - Gongbi 什麼是中式繪畫——“工筆” ?
Gongbi, means "meticulous" uses highly detailed brushstrokes that delimit details very precisely. It is often highly colored and usually depicts figurative or narrative subjects. Gongbi often practiced by artists working for the royal court or in independent workshops.
工筆是使用非常細緻的筆觸，並需要非常精確地劃分細節的一種繪畫方式。它通常是有著高度的著色，一般用於描繪比喻或敘事主題。基本上，皇家宮廷工作的藝術家或獨立工作室會常用這種繪畫方式。

What will be taught at workshop? 這工作坊將教導的
- Basic technique of holding Chinese brush 基本的正確握筆方式
- Basic technique of Gongbi/ Meticulous painting 工筆的基本繪畫技巧
- Learn the differences of xuan paper/ rice paper 懂得分辨不同的宣紙
- Practice to create a drawing of carnations. At the end of the workshop, students can bring their own painting on traditional fan home! 練習繪製康乃馨，並在工作坊結束時帶回一副自己繪製的傳統扇子！
