KL Swing celebrates World Lindy Hop Day!
World Lindy Hop day is a day where all dancers of Lindy Hop celebrate the joy of this happy, partnered dance! It falls in conjunction with Frankie Manning's birthday - a hugely talented man who was largely credited with popularizing the dance.
KL Swing is Malaysia's oldest community dedicated to spreading the dance here in KL.
The dance is usually upbeat and energetic!

The Dance History - What Is Lindy Hop?
The Lindy hop is an American dance which was born in Harlem, New York City, in 1928 and has evolved since then with the jazz music of that time. It was very popular during the swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s. It is frequently described as a jazz dance and is a member of the swing dance family. It is frequently danced to a live band.
Don't know how to dance? Don't have a partner? Don't worry! We have dancer and non-dancer tickets and we will be giving a beginner-friendly taster class for those who wish to learn, and then you can enjoy the rest of the night with our live band and singer.
They will be playing some of the most well-loved swing dance songs.
