Wax dying is a type of ancient dying method, while Indonesia is known for its wax dying, which is "Batik" in their language.
Would you like to know more about this cultural art? You must join our specially designed classes and workshop for this year then! We have 2 kinds of classes for your choice! It's either for KIDS who would like to experience the traditional art or for you (17 and above) who would like a more challenging version.
Cold-Wax-Dye Batik Making Experience Class:
- You may get to customize your very own wax dye drawstring bag
Traditional Batik Making Workshop:
- You may get to learn both hand-drawn and wax stamping method!
- The instructor will be sharing with you the difference of hand-drawn wax dye, stamping wax dye and silkscreen wax dye.
- You may also get to know how to differentiate the colour and print the Indonesian use in a different area.
- We will also be teaching you the folding method of folding a piece of Batik into a dress or pants!

Class Detail 课程内容：
This event is for age 17 and above ONLY. You will be learning 2 types of wax dye techniques at once! How to use hot wax to draw and stamping. Other than that, the instructor will be sharing with you some tips on colouring and colour matching too! We will be providing some pictures for you to choose on the spot (Cartoon Yoga, Mandala, Flowers, Chinese Goddess, etc.). If you would like to have your own drawing, you are requested to prepare the drawing on an A4 paper BEFORE the workshop (The drawing must be big and with simple strokes, all in 1 A4 paper, you can't proceed on the final piece if the drawing is too small). This class will be conducted in both Mandarin and English.
此活動只限於17歲以上人士参与。你將一次性学习两种蜡染技巧! 如何利用热制蜡染来进行蜡染绘画和蜡染印章。除此之外，導師也會與你分享上色技巧和颜色搭配的小tips哦！導師將在現場提供多种图案让您选择 (卡通瑜伽，曼陀罗，花朵，观音图等等）。如想要画自己喜欢的图案，请在上课之前先把想要的图画在A4纸上 (图案必须大和不过于细腻，满图在A4纸里，图案太小无法进行）。此課程將會以華文和英文來進行講解。
