░ 音樂會介紹 About the Concert：
爵士樂源自於美國，至今已有百年的歷史，日本東京可說是亞洲最早發展爵士樂的城市，在長達七、八十年的在地爵士樂耕耘後，東京的爵士樂有了不同於美國本土的聲音，由於爵士樂是極具節奏感的音樂，充滿了熱力，此次音樂會即以熱爵士（Hot Jazz）為名，為觀眾們帶來來自東京，洋溢活力與熱情的爵士音樂。
Oyama Hideo, premier jazz saxophonist from Japan, is considered one of the best Japanese jazz saxophonist of all time. He is going to give a concert in National Chung Cheng University and plays different styles of music, including bebop, Bossa nova, Funk, etc. It will be a very enjoyable concert which every jazz fan shouldn’t miss!
░ 演奏家介紹 About the Musicians：
薩克斯風：大山日出男 / Saxophone: Hideo Oyama
出身於日本福岡，東京藝術大學畢業之後即在樂界嶄露頭角，參與職業演出，在日本首屈一指的“Sharps and Flats”大樂團中擔任首席薩克風手長達八年之久，更經常受邀於國際舞台演出，在印度、韓國、美國都有他的樂團的演出足跡，於2010年更受邀進入皇宮為日本天皇演奏爵士樂。是當今日本樂壇的大師級薩克斯風演奏家。因為父親是日治時代生於臺灣的「灣生」，他將臺灣台南視為第二故鄉，期待能促進台日兩地的文化交流，以在臺灣的朋友面前呈現來自東京的爵士樂為榮。
Hideo has received a Bachelor of Music degree of Saxophone from Tokyo University of Arts. From 1983 to 1989, He has performed as lead alto sax with Hara Nobuo and Sharps and Flats, one of the most famous big band jazz orchestra in Tokyo. While continuing to gain invaluable bandstand experience as a sideman of combo jazz with established player in Tokyo, he has committed to his own quartet. “Oyama Hideo Quartet” released in 2007, has been placed in the top 10 of Contemporary Jazz Album selected by Jazz Commentators of the Year. For the first time in the Japanese jazz history, Hideo has played as member of the big band in the presence of Their Majesties, the Emperor and Empress and imperial family.
鋼琴：片倉真由子 / Piano: Mayuko Katakura
出生於日本仙台，自幼由同為爵士音樂家的雙親啟蒙開始進入爵士樂的世界，洗足音樂大學畢業後，獲得獎學金進入美國波士頓Berkelee音樂院深造，之後更獲得紐約茱莉亞音樂院全額獎學金而就讀，曾經合作過的大師級音樂家有Wynton Marsalis、Jimmy Heath、Donald Harrison、Ben Wolf、Carl Allen等人，曾贏得瑪麗盧威廉斯爵士鋼琴大賽（Mary Lou Williams woman in jazz competition)第一名，以及孟克大賽（Thelonious Monk competition）總決賽入圍。是當今日本爵士樂界的一顆新星。
Katakura is playing as a professional jazz pianist. Also she is teaching at Senzoku Gakuen University. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music. While studying there, she performed with great musicians such as Jerry Bergonzi, Dick Oatts, Dave Santoro, Cristian Scott, etc. After graduating from Berklee, she got a full scholarship to enter the Juilliard School where she studied with Kenny Barron and got opportunities to perform with such as Jimmy Heath, Wynton Marsalis, Carl Allen, Ben Wolf, Benny Green, Donald Harrison, Victor Goines and other extraordinary musicians. She took a first place in Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Pianist Competition in 2006.
低音提琴：林煒盛 / Double Bass: Wei-sheng Lin
出身於台灣台南，大學時開始進入爵士樂的世界，於台灣大學哲學系畢業之後，赴美國紐約州立大學（State University of New York, Purchase College)攻讀低音提琴碩士，畢業後在紐約展開長達十五年的職業演奏生涯，曾合作過的對象有John Swana、Bill Mays、Yoron Israel、Jon Faddis、Grant Stewart等人，曾於2007年被國際知名爵士樂媒體“All About Jazz”選為當月受矚目人物 (Listen Up) 並於專欄報導介紹。
Wei-Sheng Lin was born in Tainan, Taiwan and obtained a master’s degree at State University of New York, Purchase College. Since 1999, he has been very active in New York jazz scene and performed with John Swana, Bill Mays, Yoron Israel, Jon Faddis, Grant Stewart. In 2006, Wei-Sheng's debut album "Gone with the Wind" was highly acclaimed by All About Jazz's music critic Donald Elfman. He was once awarded as person of the month in All About Jazz: Listen Up in 2007.
爵士鼓：落合誠治 / Drum Set: Seiji Ochiai
出身於日本靜岡縣，於1990赴紐約發展爵士樂手生涯，曾師事爵士鼓大師Charlie Persip，曾合作過的週末知名樂手有Spike Wilmer、Richie Vitale、Kuni Mikami、Ed Cherry等人。國際知名爵士樂媒體All About Jazz知名樂評Donald Elfman對他的演奏給予高度評價。
Seiji Ochiai was born in Japan. In 1991, he moved to NY and studied with a legendary Jazz drummer, Charli Persip. Since then, he has been playing at various Jazz venues such as Blue Note, Iridium, Dizzy’s Coca-Cola, Lenox Lounge, etc. In addition, he has also performed with Ken McIntyre, Ed Cherry, Duke Jones and Kuni Mikami, etc. Now he continues to tour with other excellent musicians such as Linda Presgrave (Contro Canto:Donne in Jazz ). Since 2004, he makes College tours in Taiwan with Ralph Lalama, Jerry Weldon, Joe Magnarelli, Bobby Porcelli, Richie Vitale, Hideo Oyama.
