Efren 演奏的手搖風琴 Hurdy hurdy ，

Meira 精通世界不同傳統的風笛演奏，
以及中東許多稀有的吹管樂器。
本次演出將帶來兩位中東音樂大師，
基於中古世紀歐洲與地中海的節奏、音階，
重新詮釋創作的曲目。

EFRÉN LÓPEZ AND MEIRA SEGAL – DRONE MUSIC
Multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Efrén López (Spain), specialized in Early and Mediterranean / Middle East tradicional music, together with Meira Segal (Israel), performer of several kinds of wind instruments from the Middle East and Europe, present this journey to the forms and modes of several regions of Europe with the powerful sound of two ancient instruments that combine perfectly: Efrén's hurdy gurdy, a rare mechanic string instrument of continuous sound, present in western Eruope since the 10th century, and the many bagpipes of Meira Segal.
They play some of the compositions of Efrén, based on rhtyhms and scales of the Medieval Europe and the Mediterranean, with other old compositions.
EFRÉN LÓPEZ: hurdy gurdy
Prestigious multi-instrumentalist, composer and founding member of the bands L'Ham de Foc, Trio Petrakis/López/Chemirani, EAR, Aman Aman and Sabir, and collaborator in many other in the fields of Early and Roots music (Ross Daly & Labyrinth, Daud Khan Ensemble, Oni Wytars, Via Artis Konsort, Capella de Ministrers, Carles Dénia, Sima Bina, Maria del Mar Bonet...). He approaches Medieval and traditional repertoires from a modal music point of vew through the study and research of traditions with masters from Greece, Turkey, Afghanistan and India (Ross Daly, Necati Çelik, Yurdal Tokcan, Erkan Oğur, Erol Parlak, Daud Khan Sadozai, Mohammed Rahim Khusnawaz, Mehmet Erenler, Erdal Erzincan, Ajoy Chakrabakhti...). He has performed at renowned festivals over Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East and North and South Americas, and taking part in the recording of over 60 CDs. As a sound engineer, arranger and producer he has worked with L'Ham de Foc, Kelly Thoma, Ross Daly, Evo, Petrakis/Lopez/Chemirani, Aman Aman and Sabir among others. As a music teacher He currently gives music courses in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Portugal.
MEIRA SEGAL: Bulgarian gaida, Galician Bagpipe, schäferpfeife
She is specialized in traditional wind instruments from the Middle East and the Balkans, playing Turkish and Arabic ney, Egyptian kawla, Bulgarian kaval, and different kinds of bagpipes: Bulgarian gaida, Galician gaita and schaferpfiefe.
Her love for traditional music began at a very young age., so she took lessons with masters Ömer Erdoğdular, Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Petio Kostadinov and Harel Shachal. She has collaborated with musicians such as Ross Daly & Labyrinth Ensemble, Efrén López, Zohar Fresco and Orvim Ensemble. This year she is collaborating with famous Indian Bollywood singer Arijit Singh. She has been touring over Europe, U.S.A, India, South Africa and the Middle East.
