日常生活總是坐在車上、沙發上、辦公椅上,傾身向前並盯著電腦、平板以及手機等各式各樣的螢幕嗎?眾所皆知,這樣的生活模式將導致慢性的健康問題上身;頸肩背部的疼痛、循環不良以及含氧量不足,普遍地影響了身體健康。不僅是成年人,這些問題也在越來越多年輕人身上發生。

無論你是成天坐在辦公室、學校、或電視機前,這將是你的絕佳機會,學習適合所有年齡層、隨時隨地的椅子瑜珈,以簡單又實用的方式處理這些問題。

在這一小時的課程裡,你將學習如何利用椅子…

  • 扭轉:有助緩解背部疼痛或僵硬
  • 後彎與開胸:舒緩頸部與肩膀
  • 前彎:使頭腦安靜且延展下背
  • 站姿:鍛鍊力量與平衡

關於 Peter Scott

Peter 從 1977 年開始瑜珈練習,致力瑜珈藝術與科學,投入逾 40 年光陰。Peter 教學的強度與力量揉合了與艾揚格家族多年的學習,與世界各地學生教學相長,其教學的核心,源於自身專注於 Iyengar 瑜珈的個人練習。

Peter 深受世界各地學生的愛戴,不只因為他擅長激發與鼓勵練習者跟隨瑜珈之路,還有其教學清晰,條理分明。他的教學指令與方法,能帶領學生進入充滿覺知的狀態,讓身體、感受、器官的運作、心智與理解力都能和諧地融為一體,在體位練習的過程中得到輕盈的身體與安穩的心智。透過他對瑜珈的深厚知識,加上過去在自然療法和修復按摩的專業與教學,他對身體,解剖學和生理學都有研究,並與瑜珈智慧融會貫通。

Peter 是澳洲墨爾本 Yoga Jivana Centre 的共同創辦人。他自 1982 年起踏上瑜珈教學之路,目前在世界各地帶領師資培訓及研習課程。

Chair Yoga for Everyday Life and Work

As we all know our modern daily living of sitting in the car, sofa, office chairs and hunching over our various screens of computers, tablets and smartphones is causing chronic problems to our health. We may have experienced neck, shoulder, and back pains, as well as poor circulation and decreased oxygen intake impacting for our general health. This does not just affect adults and we see it affecting young people more and more as well.

Whether you sit in the office, school or in front of TV all day, here is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn easy practical ways to address these problems with yoga using a chair, anywhere, anytime at any age.

In this one-hour class, you’ll learn how to use the chair to do:

  • Twists to help with your back pain or stiffness
  • Backbends/chest openers to help relief your neck and shoulders
  • Forward bends to calm your mind and stretch your lower back
  • Standing poses for increasing strength and balance

And so much more…

About Peter Scott

Peter Scott has been practicing yoga since 1977 and has devoted over 40 years to the art and science of yoga. The strength and power of Peter's teaching is an amalgam of all these years of study with the Iyengar family, teaching and learning about his students around the world, and at the core, his dedicated personal practice of Iyengar yoga.

He is much loved by students around the world for his ability to inspire and positively encourage the practitioner along the path of yoga, and for the clarity he creates when teaching. Peter's instructions and his approach to teaching leads the student into that penetration of awareness to where body, senses, organs of action, mind and intellect work together to give lightness of body and calmness of mind during the asana practice. Through his deep knowledge of yoga combined with his previous professional work and lecturer in Naturopathy and Remedial Massage, Peter has extensive knowledge of the body, its anatomy and physiology, and how that relates to yogic wisdom.

He is a Co-Director and Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher based in Melbourne, Australia at Yoga Jivana (Yoga Life) Centre. He began teaching in 1982 and currently runs Teacher Training Courses and Workshops around the world.
