《開房間計劃：腹語術》
當木頭和布料組成的無生命物體突然睜開眼睛說話時，我們立即被腹語術神奇的可能性所吸引。它吸引我們的同時，也使我們恐懼：如果用木頭和布料組成的物件能夠說話，那麼在我們周圍其它的物件呢？他們何時也會從沈睡中甦醒？當宮崎峻的《龍貓》龍貓巴士出現或《美女與野獸》裡的茶壺說話時，就是這模糊又令人不安的害怕和幻想使我們著迷。它是帶我們離開自然科學法則的魔法，短暫地解放我們……假設生與死的界限是流動的，還有什麼「真理」是可以改變的？我能夠搬到新的城市開展新生活嗎？我的雙腳可以離開地面、飛向天堂嗎？隱形？《腹語術》這部只為一個觀眾所做的演出，將探索事實與虛構、夢想與真實之間的神奇空間。
關於「開房間計劃」
「開房間計劃」乃一系列針對單一觀眾量身打造的表演實驗，體現藝術本質之於表演、空間、觀眾的立體思維，並提供觀眾感官上零距離的親密互動，藉此打破觀眾與表演者之間的界限，進行一場只為「你」而做的演出。
2011首演曾獲第十屆台新藝術獎年度十大表演藝術的殊榮，2013年起進行一系列結合展覽與演出、將現場表演帶入美術館的實驗，曾進駐台北市立美術館、台灣國立美術節及誠品畫廊，並陸續受邀至台南老爺行旅、台南藝術節及澳門BOK Festival演出。
河床劇團
河床劇團成立於1998年，以「意象劇場」的創作理念，跨越了視覺藝術與表演藝術之間的界線。評論家曾讚賞河床劇團這些有機、深具雕塑性的「潛意識」劇場作品，可與山繆‧貝克特及大衛‧林區最精湛的作品相比。
河床劇團近年參與的藝術節包括：亞維儂off戲劇節(法國亞維儂) 、想像國際偶劇節(德國曼海姆、斯圖加特)、台灣國際藝術節(臺北)、國際劇場藝術節(台北)、衛武營玩藝節(高雄)、台北藝術節(台北)、台南藝術節(台南)、混種現場藝術祭(台北)。也曾受邀於台北市立美術館、國立台灣美術館亞洲雙年展、高雄美術館以及誠品畫廊進行展演。
Ventriloquism: Just for You Project
We
are drawn to the magical possibility of ventriloquism, to that instant when an
inanimate piece of wood and cloth opens its eyes and speaks. It both appeals to
us and horrifies us; if that collection of wood and cloth can speak, what about
the rest of the infinite number of objects that surround us? When will they,
too, stir from their slumber? It is this uneasy blurring of fear and fantasy
that fascinates us when the bus comes to life in Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro and the teapot speaks
in Beauty and the Beast. It is this
magical departure from the scientific laws of nature that momentarily liberates
us… If the boundary between the living and the dead is fluid, what other
“truths” are not set in stone? Can I move to a new city and start a new life?
Lift my feet from the ground and ascend to the heavens? Disappear? Staged as a
performance for an audience of one, ventriloquism
explores this magical space between fact and fiction, dream and reality.
Just for You
Just for You is a series of full-scale productions staged for one audience member at a time. These performances break down the barrier separating the spectator from the spectacle and immerse the audience in the immediacy of the sensory encounter. The audience does not just “see theatre.” They “experience” it. Riverbed has staged its site-specific performances/installations at venues including hotels, museums, and galleries.
Riverbed Theatre
Riverbed Theatre was founded in 1998 in Taipei, Taiwan. The
company’s image-based, Total Theatre productions blur the boundaries between
visual and performing arts. Critics have praised the organic, sculptural
quality of Riverbed’s “subconscious” theatre, likening the performance to the
best works of Samuel Beckett and David Lynch. Riverbed has participated in
festivals and events including: Avignon Off Theatre Festival (Avignon),
Imaginale Figurentheater Festival (Mannheim, Stuttgart),
Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center Inferno Benefit (New York), M1 Fringe Festival
(Singapore), Alice Festival (Osaka, Tokyo), Taiwan International Festival of
Arts (Taipei), International Theatre Festival (Taipei), Wei Wu Ying Arts
Festival (Kaohsiung), Taipei Arts Festival (Taipei), Tainan Arts Festival
(Tainan), and On Site Arts Festival (Taipei).
Riverbed has also participated in exhibitions at
the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taiwan Museum of Art, Kaohsiung Museum of Art, and
Eslite Gallery.
