The fundraising landscape is constantly changing. How should your startup try to raise venture capital? Come listen an entrepreneur who has been there, done that, screwed it up, and learned from it. 500px founder Ev Tchebotarev will give tips on do’s and don’ts for startup fundraising.
Please note that for this MOX happy hour, we will NOT BE AT OUR NORMAL LOCATION in CIT. This event will take place at FutureWard Central, a great startup hub that we love to work with, so please join us there. Beer and snacks will be on hand as always!
Speaker: Evgeny Tchebotarev, Founder 500px
In early 2004, before Facebook and photo-sharing sites, Evgeny Tchebotarev created a community for photographers to meet, share photos and trade stories and information. He initially developed this as a LiveJournal blog and then co-founded 500px as a company, which remains one of the Internet’s top photo sharing communities. Ev helped build 500px as a company and focused especially on community engagement and strategies for staying in step with photographic technology.
Originally from Moscow, Ev has a BA in Commerce and Finance from Ryerson University in Toronto, graduating with honours in 2007. Since leaving 500px in early 2016, Ev (車真彥) has worked as a consultant in Asia, focusing on helping companies to build Silicon Valley-style product management expertise.
