Elene主修英美文學，大學的專題是“漫畫作為一種文學”，Elene對於漫畫非常了解，這堂課她將透過《X戰警/X-men》系列帶領大家走進漫威的世界。Elene首先會先介紹《X-men》的起源與當年的時空背景（第一部作品出版於1963年），接著Elene會分享《X-men》是如何地隨著美國文化演進，我們的課程將橫越50年，直至今天最熱門的院線片《X戰警：天啟》。
這堂課特別的地方在於，我們會使用投影機來看一張張的漫畫，課程將充滿圖像、泡泡框和我們彼此間的談話，這會是一堂很生動的討論課。Elene希望大家透過這堂課程，能夠更認識漫畫、能夠學到道地的英文表達方式，也能更了解漫畫是如何地影響西方文化。
Elene是位非常親切而且認真的老師，為了這堂系列課程，Elene特地再讀過了一共14部的漫威作品，Elene說她希望這堂課程是輕鬆但又能學到東西的。從來沒有讀過漫威漫畫、沒有看過漫威電影的朋友也很歡迎，Elene將會深入淺出地與大家分享她對作品的理解。

Introduction 關於漫畫的第一堂課
Comic books? For adults? Really? Yes! Let me introduce you to the world of comic books, a genre often neglected and yet so rich and wonderful you won’t want to stop exploring it! In the first class we will take a closer look at comic books, what they are and where it all began. We will look specifically at the popular X-Men series starting with the very first edition from 1963!

Comic books as a genre 漫畫作為一種文學
Now you know a little more about comic books and even where X-Men began so we can begin exploring this world a little more. We will look at the comic books that inspired the movies, at a graphic novel just to see how popular this world is. By the end of this session you will be confident enough to want to explore the Marvel universe and see what else is out there.

From comic books to movies 從漫畫到電影
Don’t forget that there is still a 3D world out there, we’ll take a look at scenes from the movies these comic books inspired and compare them to see which is more exciting. By now you will have a sophisticated vocabulary, general knowledge on who-is- who and enough comic book examples to hold your own in a comic book debate in English.
