------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you ever wish that you could lead a meeting effortlessly, sensing how the energy is flowing between people even if they’re not talking? Or do you ever wish that there was a way to make everyone comfortable when different groups of friends are meeting together? When we speak, most of us need to listen while 1 person talks. When we move, we can all actively move together while keeping our eyes wide open. In dance classes, whether salsa or swing, the first lesson you learn is to try not to bump into the other dancers around you, just as in conversations, we try not to talk over each other. Choreographers (dance-makers) see the whole picture, when to make movements more energetic or when to pause for a moment of needed stillness. In this workshop, we’ll practice seeing from a broader picture, starting with our moving bodies in space. Even simple movements like walking can become a practice ground for visualizing interpersonal dynamics, and we can experiment in different ways of how to respond to group dynamics as individuals while moving together, using spatial awareness and physical responsiveness exercises that Lauren taught at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication in Portland, Oregon. 【Entry fee】:300 NT Premium coffee available for purchase on site.
