Climate change is the greatest threat to human rights across the world. Posing threat to the survival of our generation, climate change seriously risks the fundamental rights to life, health, food and an adequate standard of living of individuals and communities.
Understanding how climate change works and how to take appropriate action is the greatest challenge of the early 21st century. This collaborative workshop will build a robust understanding of the human causes and human and biological outcomes through the complex interactions of the climate system.
Join us for a Climate Fresk workshop, that will be targeted at people with any level of knowledge and exposure to climate science. Everyone will learn something in this workshop, and a range of experiences will enrich the workshop. The workshop is based on the rigorous IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) reports, the body charged by the UN to assess the climate science.
The workshop will be hosted by Ash, a climate activist and educator. Ash will invite the audience to jump on a collaborative whiteboard software to start creating a web of the climate system in the first half of the workshop.
In the second half of the workshop, we will have a constructive discussion to empower ourselves to act effectively in the face of the crisis.
